The 8th Sense is also known as “interoception”, a sense of knowing what is going on inside of our bodies. Interoception is achieved through a communication of the sensory receptors inside the organs and skin and the brain. This appears to regulate basic things like hunger, thirst, bathroom needs, etc, yet it also has an impact on emotional responses. Some people may become moody or angry when they are hungry, for instance, experiencing alleviation of those emotions once they eat. Furthermore, interoception is part of the processing that can have one deemed as overly sensitive or insensitive in varying degrees and instances. The Sensitive Plant, aka Partridge Pea, is one that displayed a swift attunement on this level.
