cacao blend
Cacao gualla’o as we know it in Kiskeya is not a fine powder but instead small granules grated from cacao balls which increase the potency & durability of the cacao. The granules are still small enough that at first glance it may appear like a fine powder; more details about that available on the info sheet which comes with your order. The cacao blend is adapted from a family recipe and contains cacao and herbal spices; all herbs in the blend are ground to a fine powder. Please ensure to select whether you want the blend or just the Kakawa on its own.
The accompanying information sheet features details on how to prepare drinks with the Cacao blend or the Cacao to ensure optimal integration of its potent mineral matrix, as well as a couple of recipes including the OG ‘xocoatl’ formulation and simple ways to work with the kakawa as is.
Cacao Cura is a single-origin product, ceremonial-grade, sun-dried, from the mountains, CRIOLLO, KOSHER. Cacao criollo contains very very small amounts of caffeine, so there are no jittery feelings with this one if used correctly.
the story:
For the past 9 years, I have been in consistent ceremony with Cacao sometimes sharing with friends and in local small group ceremonies. Cacao and chocolate is something my family and I have bonded over for as long as I can remember whether it was my grandma’s delicious hot chocolate or my uncle showing me the process of making the cacao into the much desired form of a bar. My days have been colored by the power this plant & its fruit have to open hearts and instill feelings of deeper intimacy & connection.
My family has been growing Cacao for several decades and my uncle who lives in the mountains on some old family land revived the tradition years ago. Known as Food of the Gods, Kakawa, as we loving call them, has too many benefits to enumerate in any one piece of writing about it, but one of their most widely recognized effects is its heart opening potential which puts us in contact with the Love radiance that emanates from within. The fruit has a clear, gentle, yet profound impact on the heart, inducing feelings of bliss, euphoria, and contentment. One may also feel more playful and lively after consumption as it activates brain activity and ‘wakes up’ the cardiovascular system without inducing anxiety or other forms of systemic irritability. The bliss chemical ‘Anandamide’ and love molecule / neurotransmitter PEA (phenethylamine) are celebrated for being powerful psychostimulants that work in tandem with the heart to prevent exacerbation of mood disorders and over time are shown to have a positive outcome.
Because of the times we find ourselves in globally, it seems Cacao is the medicine of the present and the future and is inviting us into mindful / heartful relation and consumption. When we dedicate ourselves to our healing processes, we are saying we love ourselves, and this is important because a deficit in self-love contributes to a ripple effect that influences our environment and the world in ways that are incoherent and, potentially, unnecessarily destructive. Theobroma (cacao) enhances feelings of creativity and attunement to our creative expression, thereby also instilling within us the discipline and focus required to move through the tasks required to make tangible an idea or inspiration.
This is a very nutrient-dense food which contains a wide array of vitamins and minerals, some which are fat-soluble, so the best cacao drink preparations contain some form of fat in them including but not limited to some favorites — coconut oil and ghee. This and much more is expanded upon in the document that is sent with your purchase. One of the minerals that kakaw is very high in is magnesium — also a mineral that a lot of people in modern society are deficient in due to high levels of stress and overwork. Magnesium reduces cortisol levels and helps to balance out hormonal function in general, so an understated virtue of cacao is its harmonizing effect on the reproductive & endocrine systems. Moreover, the fruit is a rich source of many other minerals — zinc, manganese, iron, and chromium — also having a high concentration of antioxidants.
The fragrance of a cacao product gives you insight into the purity and potency of it, and Cacao Cura has a scent that is very telling of the mountain origins and its strength as a heart and lungs medicine. Sniff, sip, and sing. Cacao loves a good song. Remember your voice, your love, and their power.
please note:
There is currently a cacao shortage due to a number of factors, environmental and economic. Coming by ethically grown, harvested, and processed organic cacao is becoming increasingly harder. Part of my initiative in doing this work with my family is to aid them in maintaining the land and landscape where the Cacao is grown by supporting them with funding, so proceeds from these sales will be sent to the island. The other portion of proceeds will be dedicated to certifying our cacao and creating a digital footprint so that supporters can trace the product to its place of origin, view the process & ethical production, and be certain that you are supporting a quality endeavor. We are also in the process of upgrading our packaging for Cacao Cura.
More information about all of this and future projects with the kakawa will be shared soon.

the story:
The Reishi used in this formula was gifted to me by a Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor who barely speaks English & gets all the herbs he works with straight from China. Dr. Duong was indeed delighted when he saw me walk in holding a TCM herbs reference book with the names listed in English alongside corresponding Chinese characters & black + white images. On that day I received Reishi mushroom & Peony root as a gift alongside a purchase of Rehmannia. Since then, Dr. Duong and I have been friends and though our language-based communications often happen with me pointing at a Chinese character or trying to say a word using the wrong tones and him smiling at me, his exhaled Tobacco smoke in the air, I have learned so much from him.
Lingzhi for strong, and he palpates his face. A strong glow? Even if that’s not what he meant, I eventually experienced that the mushroom enhances our luminance. Like Schizandra berries, another TCM favorite, Reishi mushrooms have been employed in many an immortality formula. This is all connected — what are chromosomes? They are receptors & projectors of light, they are light / color (chroma) bodies (somas). Many studies have shown that Reishi has a healing effect on our genetic coding and helps upgrade cellular information, so the luminosity we see in our countenance following a steady communion with the mushroom is a result of their workings within our vessels. Ganoderma lucidum is one of the latin binomials of this entity, and the word “lucidum” refers to the shiny and brilliant appearance on the surface of the mushroom which translates beautifully into and through our own light’s shining. Lingzhi is often combined with Schizandra berries for irritations and other imbalanced manifestations that show up through the skin. The mushrooms are considered to be a normalizing force for fluid metabolism & blood circulation, so they help to clear heat and other presentations of stagnation which can become inflammatory in the body. Reishi tones our organs and shows up as a preventative, with documented evidence of its curative potential. In combination with Pomegranate fruit juice, the immuno-enhancing qualities become pronounced.
The combination of Pomegranate and Reishi is a perfect alchemical marriage. They’re both in it for the long run and promise support and longevity through thick and thin. In Ayurvedic practice, Pomegranate fruit & juice is a blood tonic with cleansing properties as it can clear our bodily waters of foul discharges and other such fluids resulting from infections. Reishi has a history of being used in protocols for people experiencing cancer. In recent studies, it has been found that Pomegranate is also promising in inducing the death of certain cancer cells — synergizing perfectly with the energetics of Reishi. Pomegranate extract interacts specifically with the mitochondria in our cells — mitochondria is information and the power source in our cells which we inherit from our maternal line. Polyphenol compounds in the extract interact with the mitochondria to eradicate defective mitochondria and simultaneously help generate / reproduce new, healthy mitochondria. This is in direct conversation with the way Pomegranate flower essence helps us to integrate our creative AND procreative energies. In lore and myth, Pumica is a symbol of fertility — a direct reflection of the true medicine of this fruit and plant.
Genes hold information that often lay latent and at times, at best, come forth as subconscious urgings, actions, communications. Some of these expressions cause conflict because they lack awareness. To increase intentionality in our experience, we may need the support of beings like Pomegranate and Joshua tree flowers which help to resolve disturbances and distortions in our expressions, especially those related to lineage, ancestry, and inherited dispositions. Furthermore, the fruit bear a striking resemblance to the ovaries and other female generative organs which aligns with the doctrine of signatures and informs us that this fruit is not only a mirror of the blood, but also a clarifier which makes our past, present, and future lucid.
There is so much more to say about all of this. A post dedicated specifically to Pomegranate and Mitochondria will be available on my Substack.

the story:
An elixir of mystery and revelation, transformation and creation, made with fig fruits gathered in Florida, fig leaves from NYC and Florida, pear fruits and leaves harvested in NYC, and an essence of fig flowers made in communion with Florida sun and springs. Full body force. Fig offered themselves for this work a bit over a year ago. The aroma of their leaves, unmistakable and enchanting, agreed to be encapsulated and furthermore shared — such is the trajectory of Fig and Pear’s presence the world over. Though they are thought to originate somewhere in the Persian Gulf, it is known that Figs have adapted well to warm, temperate regions, having an extensive history throughout the Mediterranean into Africa, the Caribbean, Florida, the USA, and other locations that support their growth. The lesson of Ficus carica is one of resilience which it teaches by growing even within what some would deem ‘unfavorable’ conditions. Ficus are hardy and teach us strength & perseverance, nourish us with sweetness. Figs build blood and body, clear stagnation in colon & womb, make room for the new. The true fruits of the Fig are the seeds inside — a fact which offers us a glimpse as to the vibrational profile of this plant loaded with creative power and the potential of many forms. This is the fruit that greets us at the crossroads of plentiful inspiration yet needing direction, it offers the vision of what could be. This plant as a whole possesses great medicine for the reproductive and respiratory regions, facilitating our capacity to breathe life into what we are creating. In Ayurveda, the fig fruits, bark, and leaves are used to cleanse the blood and promote fertility. Figs are also deeply connected to the water element by their demulcent qualities which work to soothe inflammation throughout the body and have a relaxing effects on the throat and lungs. In a study with melanated folk living in Michigan, it was reported that a great majority of them use fig juice to treat soreness of throat and irritation in breathing.
Similarly to the Ficus, Pears / Pyrus have experience and been experienced in many regions. Some early documentation of usage includes a ferment of their juices in Italy and around the Mediterranean. Even without such historical reference one can assume that Pear and Fig have crossed paths at certain points in their travels and through a myriad of recipes. The synergistic action of Figs with Pears is evident — as food medicines they have similar effects and impacts on the body and contain some of the same minerals & vitamins (such as magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, and iron) which support everyday physical processes, landing in us with the vow of healthful bounty — the invigorating power of this combination is felt head to toe. In general, they are both late summer to autumn fruits and offer us the waters needed to transition into the airiness that the cooler months bring after the heat of summer months. Pear is nutritive and provides us sweet sustenance, helping us feel cared for and supported through movement and change. When we are coming out of a period of burnout, stagnation, depression, or exhaustion, Pear imparts a sustained surge of vitality. The fruit clears heat in the body and serves as a perfect antidote to the remnants of summertime inflammations. I have a memory of my mother, livid, walking to the kitchen for a pear and sitting on the couch with it, pensive, her demeanor and anger gradually transformed, witnessed in her sigh-song & her shoulders relaxing with the release of tension — indeed it was late August. The Pear has always been her favorite fruit, and she has always been an intuitive eater. A drop of Memory’s Harvest on the tongue, a hand on my chest, a deep breath. This fruit touches upon several meridians in the body and are especially ideal for assisting and liberating the liver which holds anger, the kidneys & the fear it stores, and the heart with its lingering grief. Because Pear trees can live to more than 200 years, the Chinese regarded them as the Tree of Immortality and Prosperity. Pear and Fig have a wealth of information & impressions by virtue of their extensive existence. What they offer is as diverse as the needs, desires, and cravings of those who love and enjoy them.
Incorporating essences into extracts always feels like adding another level of Spirit to the potion. Fig flower essence helps to facilitate past life / parallel timespiral recall and ingression. It helps us to retrieve what feels lost or taken, supports us in processes of reclamation, restoration, and regeneration. This essence has a resonance within the craniosacral region, enhancing memory and cognition, helping us conceive and create with ease.
This formula is a collection of times, spaces, ideas, promises, recipes, waters, nutrients, stories. The land codes from the Southeast and Northeast USA serve to bridge a gap in the histories remembered, our own and those of the territories we live with and on. It was crafted using a Kiskeyan method of preparing fruits combined with a basic oxymeli format, rendering a potent concoction. The effects are immediate, pronounced, long-lasting, worth sitting / moving / creating / being with. This potion is an invitation to deep study and remembrance.
Elixir comes in a 1 or 2 oz. amber glass bottle with a dropper. It includes a label featuring Gold Water Alchemy logo and elixir information and image or symbols.
Tune into my Substack for my upcoming & ongoing autumn and otherwise seasonal expansions / shares with Fig, Pear, Pomegranate, Passionfruit, and other fruits.

the story :
It’s been years of communion with this plant spirit to lead to the point of crafting something to share publicly — that’s the kind of reverence this vine demands. The story of our connection is extensive and will be reserved for sharing through another medium, but for now suffice it to say that the Banisteriopsis caapi vine comes loaded with messages and activations that are hard to ignore, deny, overlook. This vine walks with those who have sight, know it, and are not afraid to see truth. It is for underworld work that affords us gold and riches, wealth of spirit. It is for unlocking treasure boxes within ourselves. This is a microdose potion that does not contain the DMT component typical in the more commonly sought out ‘psychedelic’ experience of modern Ayahuasca consumption. Nevertheless, this one is psychedelic in its own right especially considering that etymologically “psychedelic” means “mind-expanding” or “mind-brightening”. On a phytochemical level, the alkaloids present in the vine are what lend their cognition-enhancing effects especially when used over an extended period of time in micro-doses. Harmine is one of the alkaloids present which have been shown to increase neuron cell growth by over 70% and has overall psycho-protective and neuro-protective qualities. The antioxidant qualities of the B. caapi vine are exhibited through the activity of this particular constituent which furthermore aids the function of the hippocampus, a part of the brain responsible for memory and other neurological and biological capacities. Other personal studies have shown that microdosing with this tonic can increase flow consciousness and enable us to exercise our creativity more effortlessly. All of what’s been noted about the benefits also hints at the fact that the spirit of this vine is specifically tuned to guarding us against psychic attack and invasion which is a hallmark need of the times we find ourselves in, the age of information and miseducation. May we reclaim our minds and hearts in good health with this one. Aya Santa is a highly programmable and willing to work with each individual according to their specific needs, personal visions; helping to overcome obstacles on the path toward fulfillment. Other notations about this formulation: song-crafting and spirit-weaving becomes easier with this medicine. There is something about singing, humming, dancing, moving that affords us a quality of air which mends the heart, and B. caapi loves a heart-felt tune — if a song wells up in you while in communion with them, please don’t shy away from that shift in your breathing. Aya Santa is a spiral dancer, shape-shifting in expansion and contraction where and when needed. Spells can be both cast and broken with her. This is a teacher plant — instructing, nourishing, correcting, purifying. I find this one especially helpful for people who have dealt with long bouts of depression or anxiety, the after effects of trauma or stagnant patterning, afforded through Aya’s psychoemotional and psychospiritual purging abilities. For the highly sensitive ones, Caapi vine keeps our perceptions sharp while fine-tuning our energetic boundaries, reminding us of the importance of clearing our fields and being mindful of who and what we interact and build contracts with. This extract is a tonic with chemical constituents whose effects transcend the physical; such is the beauty of plants. Aya Santa helps us to create new neural pathways, build bridges, make deeper connections, and integrate into the wholeness of ecosystem, environment, bioregion with all the sentience present within each facet of it. Flow and go, flow and let go. The path is meandering and has many guide posts so you never get lost again. Deep feeling, deep seeing, close reading; for liminal spaces and the crossroads — Caapi vine is unforgettable.

the story:
For vision & dream work, carnal pleasures, and power activation.
Angels are angles of light that exist to both illuminate and cast shadows which expand perception of the magnitudes we contain within. Some angels become further embodied into fleshly, dense forms and take shape as animated beings in this realm — this potion is for the Earth Angels and those working the light within into a greater expression of brilliance. This is for those who wish to fully descend / ground into their bodies and feel the world within & around with pronounced, intentional depth. Embodied Angels are not demure nor do they shy away from physical pleasures and carnal desires & delights. Angels are angels because they have been afforded a multiplicity of perspectives or angles through an accumulation of experiential imprints and the insights the experiments of life offer. These beings are of quality & quantity. This tincture was crafted with all of this in heart.
The herbs used in the formula affect body and activate blood all while elevating the formless aspects in us that exist as beacons on the journey. Blue Lotus and Damiana accentuate physical sensitivity to the point of increasing overall super-sentience. They enhance awareness of the input we are receiving from our environment and furthermore strengthen the psychoimaginal dimension so that we can see and recall the important and pertinent elements of our days. The subconscious picks up on a lot more cues, sights, sounds, smells, tastes, feels, impressions than conscious perception can process, so the dream realm is one of the spaces where we begin to sort through all of the information. Blue Lotus is often applied for dream-work and is known to enhance ability to remember dreams and make sense of them. In various medicine traditions, Blue Lotus (Blue Waterlily) is known to increase spiritual & meditative energies by targeting and relaxing the nervous system, enabling ease of access to the innerscapes and what treasures & darkness they possess. This waterlily has been used to calm anxiety & stress, while it is also effective as an agent that cools heat conditions in the body which manifest as anger and skin irritation alike. As a spiritual tool, the Lotus is considered protective and much of the protective energy is afforded through a stabilizing of dispositions. In communal & ceremonial application, this Blue Lotus comes forward to support blood flow simultaneously enhancing the alertness of our bodies — serving as an aphrodisiac — and our minds, promoting lucidity in awareness.
Damiana is the perfect companion for the work the Blue Waterlily does. This is a plant native to the subtropical regions including Texas, Mexico, Central & South America, and the Caribbean. The Damiana used in this remedy was sourced in Kiskeya and was found growing in abundance in the wild. They are an accomplice which supports our reproductive and mental functions promoting a staying power, whether sexually or mentally. Accounts regard that Damiana’s use as an herbal remedy predates written history, which speaks to the long-term relationship humans and other living beings have had with this plant. Turnera diffusa (as Damiana is otherwise known) is an effective traveler throughout all the waters & organs of the body from kidneys to bladder to heart, with the capacity of helping to correct everything from blood deficiencies such as anemia to the nervous system imbalances which may contribute to the energetic states of anxiety and depression. In Mesoamerican tradition, Turnera is communed with ceremoniously & festively for their wide array of benefits.
When we combine the energizing and fortifying powers of the Waterlily and Damiana, we get quite a mighty formula. Both of these have been indicated as euphoria-inducing which affords us a potion that renders deep feelings of pleasure, benefits our health by way of various bodily systems, and grants us the steadfastness to complete what we begin. The essence of Barbados Lily only accentuates and augments this reality.
About Barbados Lily — “For bold creativity in alignment with divine will. This brilliant orange red lily has not only a very strong life force energy, but an energy of helping us persist in expressing our creative purpose. Consider this one when you are uncertain you have the stamina to follow through on creative plans or ideas. flower profile and essence creation story:
The ultimate promise of this one is that if you can stay with the shadows, the mysteries will be revealed to you. Connections otherwise inaccessible are more easily made.
These flower essences were created at separate times in distinct locations, all in Florida. One in Winter Park, the other in Osteen. All holy, mighty, meaningful, leading to this moment. Black Eyed Susan is a flower I have worked with in essence form for some time. Initially, it was gifted to me by a friend and soon after I began to encounter the flower everywhere in my immediate landscape — the reticular activating system is very active in general but even more so when in communion with natural forces such as flowers. Black Eyed Susan calls us when we need a wake up call, rude or otherwise. Black Eyed Susan does not coddle nor accept pretense. Because of the potency of what Black Eyed Susan does in the psychoemotional and spiritual dimensions of our being, Jasmine was added to ease the effect and help one to clearly perceive the Gold in the Shadow. When the unpleasant aspects of the Self loom and make us feel like we have to retreat, Jasmine shows us the beauty and divinity of our being, reminding us of the process of refinement resulting of excavating for riches. The wealth is found in the dark, whether the dense soil or our storied souls.
"Night Light" also speaks directly to the colors of the flowers — Jasmine, white, fragrant and enchanting, Black Eyed Susan, bright yellow with a black core symbolizing the inspiration and motivation found in our depths. Both together support our shadows meeting the light of transformation, an alchemical marriage. In therapeutic application, Black Eyed Susan essence is indicated for those who have repressed traumas that need release so that stagnation can be discharged. It is also effective for undoing habitual tendencies that are not conducive to growth and expansion, simultaneously helping us "contract" where needed to birth a new paradigm in our lives. Rudbeckia (BES) helps us tap into the subconscious so it is effective as a dream work essence and for conjuring new visions, breaking through old programs and charging into holistic processing. As a healer of the vision, it is effective when one is on a protocol or regimen for clearing & strengthening eye sight. Simultaneously, this flower's essence promotes patience as a virtue and tolerance as a quality in the situations where it is needed the most.
Jasmine is a beautiful addition here because it holds the key for the breakthrough being called in by the awareness being offered by Black Eyed Susan. Jasmine essence is effective in supporting the release of stagnant emotional patterns and other energetic hooks which may keep one looping and unable to make progress in the spiral of life & time. BES takes us into the soil of our souls while Jasmine elevates us high into the realm of other possibilities. This is a particularly impactful remedy for the heart and lungs as it is an essence that instills a deeper sense of compassion and helps us find peace even in moments of grief. There is something extremely rejuvenating about Jasmine flower essence and that provides the necessary stimulation for seeing the darkest dawn through to a new day.
The zig zag zeitgeist phrase that activates this blend came through research into motivational practices for work and lifestyle habits. It is based on the theory that people are mutable in their approach to creative expression, i.e., people tend to zig zag in their practice and this enables them draw from natural inspiration as opposed to trudging through work and to-do lists without the animation or vitality to actually do it. To me this also registers as the pattern of one that moves in mysterious ways, a signature of the Night Light formula. So overall this is a remedy for those who need that extra push to move forward while also offering protection so that actualization happens with ease and the lessons won't be so abrasive. Night Light is an essence for the times that call us to be steadfast and diligent in our pursuit and expressions all while maintaining a natural approach, not becoming a machine. If you feel burdened, scattered, or overwhelmed, this blend is for you as it will help you slow down, assess, declutter, and organize so that you can proceed toward actualization of goals, meeting intentions with a clear template.
A note about using flower essences:
Flower essences are not oils. They are vibrational healing remedies which affect and change energetic conditions and, like some oils and other medicines, can be used internally, on acupuncture/acupressure points and chakras, sprayed in the energy field, dripped in your water, and even used for personal and professional massaging. It is best to use an essence or combination and/or group of essences for 30-33 days to permanently shift patterns and create new habits, healthier lifeways.

flower essence profile and essence blend creation story:
Oh mymama come see dat crow, see how he flies, oh mymama come see dat crow, see how he flies, let’s go let’s go, gonna fly tonight, see how he flies.
Zora Neale Hurston’s ‘Crow Dance’ has been resonating in my heart & head since I first saw and heard it. Some time later I’d heard Alice Walker say that Zora loved Gardenia flowers and the color Red. It was also when I discovered a children’s book that was adapted from Zora’s short story titled Magnolia Flower. The season was Spring and the Gardenias outside my home had begun flowering, their fragrance enchanting the air in a lingering trail of scent. Around the corner from my house I’d found a lonesome and striking Southern Magnolia reaching out for a hug from all sides. All these and other factors considered, this is a storied and enchanting blend.
The forces present in it support the integration of the inner abundant wellspring while also enhancing the capacity to set our actions in accord with our visions. Gardenia flower essence helps grow the seeds from the shadows, from the fertile ground, into usable and fruitful manifestations. It pairs well while working with Crow feathers in essence form as these feathers figure greatly in times of initiation and growth. The blue & black darkness of the crow is symbolic of transformation and also the womb of many potentials. This darkness lands in an area of the color spectrum in which energy is densely concentrated and capable of profoundly absorbing and producing heat & light, so dark talismans such as the crow feather signify containment of the wisdom and energy necessary to create and actualize. Crow medicine is held by several including (but not limited to) the alchemists, writers, teachers, high priests & priestesses, and those who maintain contact with the Otherworld. By way of personal experience, it has been gathered that Crows may show up when messages from the beyond are coming through or when the presence of ancestral forces is near. Additionally they can appear when experiencing a ritual of passage & change. Gardenia & Magnolia complement all of this and offer the momentum required to meet the light halfway and full.
Similarly to Gardenia, Magnolia encourages embodiment in the midst of psychic & mystical expansion, promoting the full innerstanding of what is being accessed from within and beyond. Magnolia is particularly harmonizing to the womb and heart space so they aid the bao mai channel which connects these two points. An imbalanced bao mai can contribute to everything from anxiety to confusion to infertility, all of which are addressed with the Crow Dance of abundance & plenty. As the Crow Dance song and performance imply, this one is for activation of the body and both Magnolia & Gardenia are promising for energizing the reproductive system and clearing the heart which facilitates the stream and promotes progress. Gardenia is useful when one is dealing with emotional complications that make it difficult to meet intentions. It also possesses a Mercurial vibration, enhancing our writing, speaking, and teaching abilities. If you have felt unlovable or unworthy, this flower reminds you that you are beautiful and that what you may perceive as a weakness is more so a source of strength.
Magnolia is here for that, too. They provide an unshakable sense of peace and security in times when we may feel worried or uncertain, so if something major is happening in our lives, then Magnolia is the perfect essence to support our transitions. The Magnolia species has been on Earth for a long time, and I find that these ancient plants tend to impart the inner knowings that have become encapsulated in their matrix over time thus their flower essence also provides a greater context for innerstanding our experiences. In alignment with their ancientness, the Magnolia flower essence benefits folks who are entering cronehood and the like. They assist feelings of acceptance and trust in the aging that naturally occurs. For death doulas & companions and those who have experienced loss, the combination of Crow feathers and Magnolia essences is an ideal formula for aiding clients and loved ones going through stages of death & dying.
Overall, Crow Dance essence blend is for the living, growing, and dying alike. It is for the many world dwellers and encourages us as we move within, without, and throughout.

These ointments come in 1 oz. tin containers. The third rendition of our flying ointment, and this one is equally potent. It is called Mojave Rock due to its reddish color, a phrase at the beginning of the song “Kill Screen” by Jean Grae where she also says “I was nominated flyest, so you see I’ll take us higher”, lyrics which feel more than fitting for this ointment. The name is also inspired by the fact that the one of the plants (Desert Lavender) used to make this salve was gathered in the mountains of Arizona, and there’s a portion of the Mojave Desert that extends into this state where the rocks (which I also gathered some of) are red. Flying ointment no. 3 is deeply ancestral and grounding in a way that flying ointments no. 1 and 2 are not. It helps to increase awareness of the immediate environment and, more profoundly, our physical vessel. This is a formula for those who have been disembodied and out of touch with their feelings for far too long. The rooting element here is the Poke roots which simultaneously offer protection and ease enough for us to feel safe in our bodies. So, this ointment is essentially a formula for soul retrieval; shamanic in the deepest sense of the word. The reddish color of the ointment comes from one of the plants used in formulation; a plant invigorating to the blood which helps to strengthen circulation, so when applied topically, it brings warmth and a glow to the skin. This also readies us, through surface opening, to receive the properties that enable us to take flight. The heat of some of the plants here also serves to enhance the power of lymphatic drainage that poke root offers us. In certain traditions, Poke root is regarded and used to heal clogged ducts and inflammation sometimes experienced by nursing people. They generally serve to move waters in the body and so enable to clarify our emotional spaces and traverse the collection of memories with more lucidity. Poke root possesses qualities which help to alter and heighten our perception and sensibilities, so gifts of clairaudience, clairvoyance, clairsentience get a boost with use of this wondrous flying ointment. In other ways, this root is essential in works where we seek to alleviate stagnation psychically, spiritually, physically, and emotionally — it has the elevating effect that is so central to the experience of flying ointments. Cannabis flowers and mugwort leaves lean into and lend us softness through relief of pain, tension, inflammation, and congestion. Cannabis flowers also provide heart-opening codes, while mugwort supports our perception of the messages that slip through the veil to find us. Portals everywhere with this one. The general key note of the formula is movement, and it is safe to say that all of the plants use here assist us in opening the doors of expansive journeying. When visioning with this potion, we encountered many particularly female and feminine ancestal forces, the grandmothers. She is of the earth and in the stars, she is strong, stable, capable, wise, ancient, extra and terrestrial, steady in her knowing, great in power; she is a rock, a formation of what is possible through and beyond time.

These ointments come in 1 oz. tin containers. It is worth emphasizing that this is a potent batch of flying ointment — the most potent to date of all of the renditions we have had of Indigenous Flying Ointment no. 1, so rightfully this is its own variation, Indigenous Flying Ointment no. 2. The combination of blue lotus flowers, mugwort leaves, and hemp + cannabis flowers offer us a wide array of benefits — blue lotus flowers work as a relaxant, euphoric, and mild sedative; mugwort leaves are useful for cramping, soreness, muscle aches, and other such painful experiences; hemp and cannabis flowers enhance perception, heighten sensibility, expand the heart center, and overall can uplift one from a heavy or dense mood. The combination of these 3 is effective for easing us into the receptivity necessary to facilitate flight. The addition of Angel’s Trumpet potentiates the impact of these accomplices. Angel’s Trumpet is indeed the Angelic Presence in this formula and swiftly carries us through the navigations and journeys that can be induced with this ointment. Angel’s Trumpet is rich in alkaloids which have an effect on the metabolism and thus can alter both bodily and psychoemotional processes. While the compounds in Angel’s Trumpet are generally considered to have poison potential, in this ointment they serve as a medicine and activator propelling us into balanced motion. On a spiritual level, this is an all in one balm — it unblocks our hearts and (as a result) our minds; it unjinxes love, money, and other possible manifestations of abundance; it uncrosses the path, making clear the way and why of our direction. With the flying ointment, the veil is made thinner and it often produces a sense of floating or feeling of liminality. Flying ointments serve as a master KEY between worlds and ease passage between and into multiple dimensions. Typically these preparations are used for astral travels, shapeshifting, hedgecrossing, creative inspiration, trance, and even hypnotherapy. Some have reportedly used them for past life recall and to remove filters and barriers preventing attunement to timeless wisdom. The name “Angelic Presence” is also attributed to the fact that this ointment feels like a call for a benevolent ancestors and spirit guides to come forth; this is felt in the opening that occurs within us and the depths our perception traverses, into the dirt and through the abyss of the multiverse. The dreams and visions are also made more vivid with this salve, so it favors well when petitioning for clarity within the 3rd eye, in dreamwork, and divination. It is within these spaces that we may find more ease in certain layers of shadow work, so Angelic Presence is furthermore a talisman of protection as one sifts through the layers of the subconscious. On a physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental level, this ointment leaves pronounced and profound impressions, so it is essential in healing, soothing, and initiation practices. All of the plants worked in this unguent are traditionally used for flying ointment formulas, so it is with the memories of old that this one is charged. This is a true ancestral remedy with so many benefits and which will have a unique imprint on each person who works with it. May your travels be illuminating, psychedelic (mind-brightening), and heart-enlivening.

the story:
The formula for this remedy came to me within the sequence of a series of events leading to sudden and necessary change. My head hot and my heart ever-ready, I said I was not going to act like my vision has not always been as clear as it is, so remaining in environments and situations with people who thought to get away with deception and sneaky (but felt by me) invasion of privacy was no longer an option. Ancestral forces, benevolent and serious about protection and works of uncrossing the journey, were at the fore guiding and orchestrating the invoked and yearned for tower moment. A dance around the homestead and the plants for this oxymel found their way to my basket, whispering as I saw flashes of red and tobacco smoke cleansing my head. Like the energy of Candelo, a loa protective and just, cleansing and strengthening, this formula is clearly an emanation of his vibration. Things were revealed, things were made clear. The medicine here is a testimony of that and does just that. Each of the plants here is rich in story and medicine alike; thick with healing dimensions. Elderberries are well-known and often spoken of for use in immunity boosting (precaution should be taken here especially in the case of autoimmune conditions) and serve as accomplices in increasing the defense line of the body. Similarly, this one is used within magickal traditions for warding off evil, undoing malicious works, and protection in the aftermath of the uncrossing. Various practices, including Hoodoo, advise Elder hung or planted around the perimeter of a space that we think may be susceptible to certain intrusion and attack. In essence, the spirit of Elder shields the aspects within and without us which we hold as sacred, near, and dear. These berries have also been considered ideal in cleansing the reproductive system, particularly ideal for the vaginal canal and its pH balance. Infusions and syrups (or oxymels) of the berries have often been employed for diuretic (kidney cleansing/urination inducing) purposes and to help heal one experiencing urinary tract infections. Yellow dock root is rich in iron and boosts the effectiveness of the vitamin C content that Elderberries bring to this formula. This plant root is ideal in replenishing hemoglobin and correcting anemia. Elderberries and Yellow dock both contain anti-inflammatory properties, making them effective for eliminating hot conditions, irritations, inflammations, and aggravations in the body, mind, heart, and spirit. Here we see one of the primary actions of this tonic oxymel is not only to cleanse, tone, and strengthen the blood, but also to bring balance to the fiery qualities of Candelo and his likeness. Papalo and Tithonia sunflowers are herbals and florals consecrated in Mesoamerica and regarded as ideal medicine in ancestral veneration. Papalo has a pungent aroma and taste which inform us that this one touches gut, heart, and head alike. Papalo is regarding as the Mexican substitute for Cilantro, and they similarly have brain enhancing qualities by way of clearing the nervous system and other bodily systems of heavy metal toxicity. This plant is called “summer Cilantro” oftentimes because it has a great affinity for the heat — in the thick of summer, their flowers bloom and aromas travel. Furthermore, Basil leaves are another one whose aroma, well-recognized and deeply loved and integrated in many a dishes, serves as protective from head to toe. Ayisien vodou tradition associates the use and appearance of Basil with Ezili, and in the Dominican Republic, it is known as one of Candelo’s favorite plants. He is indeed a great healer; even went as far as to suggest that a couple drops of this oxymel in a floor wash would do wonders for driving evil away from the home. Enter family and home renewal. The flowers of Tithonia only accentuate that and bring vitality when energy has been leaking and the aura is compromised by tears. Tithonia sunflowers target the solar plexus and help us to walk with more confidence and security in what we are moving with and through at each moment. Spilanthes and Romerillo (aka Spanish needle) boost the effectiveness of Elderberries — they are all antibacterial, anti-fungal, and relatively antibiotic. They are used for a wide spectrum of conditions ranging from fevers to facial paralysis to toothache to anxiety and depression. In the Autumn season, these two summer (and sometimes Autumn in Florida) flowering plants are cherished for their healing impact on the lungs — the lungs being the yin organs it is advised we attend to (according to Traditional Chinese Medicine and other medicinal traditions) during the Autumn season. With proper lung care, we can ensure that the movement of fluids and nutrition in our bodies is more conducive to deep nourishment through proper integration of the foods and other ‘beneficial’ information we are consuming. Ginger root serves as the activating principle in this formula by heating up the body in a way that helps dampness that is stagnant to come to the surface (through perspiration, etc) and find a way out so that we may experience relief. Sometimes this stagnancy results in a sluggishness that may otherwise be rightfully called “depression”, so Ginger lifts us through targeting the digestive/solar aspects. In Hoodoo, it is used for movement, and like the energy of Candelo, this movement is intended to be quick and awakening. El Remedio de Candelo is the formula you come to and journey with when you seek to exact rectitude in your affairs and are aiming are growing through challenges in health, physical or otherwise, which can confuse the process and obstruct the progress. Con Candelo no se juega — be intentional in all your ways.

the story:
The Tree of Life is known as a diagram of our reality, reflecting both the macrocosm and the microcosm; the universe as macro & the self as micro. In studying the Tree of Life, I naturally gravitated to certain Sephiroth such as Yesod & Binah. Being a dreamer, Yesod appeals to me because it is the realm of the subconscious where we find the undercurrents of our experience through imprints of symbols, personal matrices & narratives, inherited & enforced programs. Yesod is a vehicle that facilitates movement between the divine and the material, being thus a place of liminality.
Binah is in an upper sphere on the Tree.
“Binah (בִּינָה), meaning ‘understanding’ in Hebrew, is derived from the root ב-י-נ, which conveys the concept of discerning or distinguishing knowledge into structured understanding. This root implies building or constructing insight from raw data. In Kabbalistic tradition, Binah is personified as a nurturing mother, reflecting its role in developing and shaping the abstract wisdom from Chokmah into intelligible forms.”
Binah loves eucalyptus & myrrh — these are some of correspondences for that energetic signature. To comprehend more of the resonance, we can look at the medicine and magick of these plant materia.
Myrrh is often related to Mary, and in the story it is one of the gifts given to Jesus, symbolizing the future passion & suffering that he would meet, simultaneously associated with the crying / pained mother or Mater Dolorosa. It is a balm used in preparation of dead bodies & rites of dying which is a curious issue to note as not being an end — an idea and understanding that is reflected within many traditions. Even in places like Jamaica & Kiskeya it is regarded that the spirit of the dead leaves the resting place on the third day, signaling to resurrection & rebirth. (For this reason, there is a 9-night vigil to ensure that the spirit transitions to its new dwelling space / the ‘after life’, not stuck roaming the earth disembodied).
Myrrh is used as an anointment & consecration oil. It is also employed for its therapeutic value and has been used for over 3,500 years. Records show that Kemetic peoples have used the oil for treating fevers, venereal illnesses, and respiratory concerns. In Greece during times of war, soldiers would take Myrrh to battle for its protective, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory qualities. This resin is also a cleanser known to clean & heal wounds. Tibetan and Chinese folks regard that the oil is helpful for arthritis, menstrual cramps, hemorrhoids, stress, nervousness, anxiety, and so much more. Overall Myrrh oil is somewhat of a panacea, a suitable support for the whole body and whole person, skin to teeth. In mystical and magickal traditions, devotees burn myrrh as incense because, as previously noted, it is cleansing and furthermore purifying, supporting upliftment of frequencies within a space and creating a sense of peace & calm (connected to its tonifying effect on the nervous system). Myrrh is considered to enhance the power of any herbs or other plant matter it is mixed with, so it helps to strengthen conjurations and the motions aligned with one’s intentions especially if working with the Mother force to bring about a desired material expression.
“Binah brings order and structure to the fragmented divine light.”
Similarly, Juniper oil has a long history of application by some of the same people. In Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs, Scott Cunningham writes “used throughout Europe as a protective herb, Juniper also guards against theft. It was probably one of the earliest incenses used by Mediterranean Witches. Juniper hung at the door protects against evil forces and persons, and it is burned in exorcism rites… It also guards against ghosts and sickness… When carried or burned, Juniper helps the psychic powers…”
The branches of Juniper have also been burned by ancient Greeks to combat epidemics and illnesses. In Kemet, corpses were anointed with the oil to both embalm and aid transition. More modern applications see it effective in supporting hair growth, treating acne, cellulite, cramping, and mental exhaustion. Like Myrrh, Juniper oil is useful for skin conditions, so the infusion of them together is a potent remedy for irritations & other variation of skin imbalance & affliction such as eczema, psoriasis, and the like.
The synergy of it all is made evident with Eucalyptus which unsurprisingly shares some of the qualities of both Juniper and Myrrh. “Binah is often likened to a 'palace of mirrors'.” In simple terms, Eucalyptus mirrors a lot of the healing potential exhibited in the berries and resin. Eucalyptus is also (like Myrrh) useful for teeth & dentistry with documented use as a mouth rinse solution. Our teeth as mouth-bones contribute to the structural support of our face which is where the sephira of Binah lands on our bodies if we view the Tree of Life within us. So in essence Myrrh and Eucalyptus serve to cushion our structures, toning them to ensure proper function. Eucalyptus cleanses (like Juniper) and is recognized as a potent respiratory aid. It opens us, helps us expand, inhale more deeply. In Kiskeya, abuelas put Camphor & Eucalyptus leaves in our pockets, making a cross from head to chest, praying for our protection.
Binah is an altar oil that alters our experience and innerstanding, elevating us to a dynamic yet balanced and steady vibration.
“Binah is associated with the feminine aspect of divinity. The Bahir states: "For you shall call ‘Understanding’ a Mother" (Bahir 75).”

the story:
Ezili Danto loves the children, but she plays no games. Ezili Danto is known to be fierce, protective, a wild woman; and her protective spirit is born of deep love for her people, for the children, for women, and those who are unjustly marginalized, ostracized, and “othered”. Mambo Danto is a hot entity who loves aromatics and took a particular liking to Juniper berries and Rosemary when I was meditating on an oil of these two. It took only minutes and hours for her to manifest in forms I cannot share through here out of respect for her apparitions and the power within those experiences. Suffice it to say that an entire formula for this protection oil came to me through those encounters, and I’ve consistently seen her favor in my life since the moment I set the plants and curio in oils. Considering the two main plants in this one, we can fathom the vastness of proper application. Juniper berries are used in Kiskeya for many things including deflecting and stopping evil in its tracks. It is a preventative medicine on multiple levels, both physical and spiritual. The little juniper leaves have sharp tips which can be likened to the tip of the machete that Ezili Danto carries and wields in the face of adversity. Juniper berries are also often sprinkled in gardens throughout the island for good luck, to attract beneficial insects and pollinators, and on other levels to magnetize love and adoration. Oil of Juniper berries is often used for love workings and all matters related to the heart including the healing of grief and heartbreak. When the sexual nature is compromised or libido is low, Juniper is taken in wine or used in oil to massage the lower pelvic region for invigoration. This accomplice has also been regarded as effective for increasing psychic powers and driving away confusion. When Juniper is combined with Rosemary, the mind clarifying capacity becomes furthermore pronounced — this is very important because something else that Mambo’s machete symbolizes is that which cuts through illusions and promotes true communication through clear perception. Rosemary is also good for memory and protection during dreaming. Frequency of Love oil can be used for ensuring restful sleep, all the while enabling recall of the important elements in our dreamscpes. These two plants can often be found in the houses of healers throughout the campos of Kiskeya for their known ability to promote wellness and comfort the sick. Some of my people have the practice of wrapping freshly washed and dried clothes with Rosemary sprigs (for several minutes) to increase blessings and provide safety. Through this elixir for anointment, you are granted revitalized energy, love, protection, and direction all the same. For external use only.

the story:
It seems many of us can sing the praises to and of Papa Legba for all the ways in which his spirit has remained amongst us throughout time, serving, in many ways, as a key to safety, security, protection, and swift passage on our journeys. In one of the ancestral spiritual traditions which I inherited and practice, Papa Legba is a being who stands at the threshold, guarding the doors, keeping the gates. He reminds us that the roads open only for those of honest heart and pure intention — his keynote is “come correct”; this is why he is the first one we salute as we ask for the gates to be opened. In a time when “gatekeeping” is perceived as problematic (because of who is doing the “gatekeeping”), Legba reminds us of who the OG is and why control of and at the gates is important: if we are not careful, demons, ills, evils, antagonists, and all sorts of havoc-makers can come through and attempt to take reign of our lives and experiences. Without Papa’s permission, no spirit or person can cross, and that is not only from the material to the spiritual but also from the spiritual into the material. His power is so great that in my traditions, it is Papa Legba who we invoke in matters of infertility and when one experiences other sorts of difficulty in conception. There are so many amazing stories about the wonders, healing, and openings that this spirit can afford us, but first and foremost we pay with respect and reverence. All of this and much more considered, after time deep in meditation and communion with my lwas, this formula was granted to me through conversations with my grandfather and in dreams. It is made with tobacco leaves which is a staple planta maestra who walks closely with Papa and is often called for in offerings to him. Amber or Ambár resin from the Hymeneae species, which is regarded as a jewel in Kiskeya, is another component of this oil which also contribute to the coding of this serum. After brewing for several moon cycles and through 3 seasons, the oil came forth as ready and charged with the power of opening roads and helping us make well-informed decisions at the crossroads. This oil is also consecrated with the intention to clear any obstacles blocking the way; these obstacles may show up in the form of habits, ideas, thought patterns, food ways, relationships, places, and other things which keep us looping in manners that are overdue for change and release. The formula is a catalyst for deep transformation and unblocking. It can also be used for matters of fertility or to ensure a healthy conception and pregnancy. Papa Legba’s oil can be use directly on any part of the body that is experiencing feelings of stuckness, stagnancy, or toxicity. It’s a great one for stimulating lymphatic movement and helping to boost the immune system. Just like Papa Legba, this oil is a dynamic remedy which can aid us along the path and security through feelings of confidence and protection on our way. For external use only.

COMES IN A 4 OZ. BOTTLE
This one is made with several plant parts I got from the Dominican Republic side of the island of Kiskeya (DR & Haiti). The june plum leaves, cinnamon bark, ginger root, and elderberries all came from there during my most recent trip to the island this past summer. They came together with some other materials sourced in Florida to form this synergistic blend which functions as a tonic with deeply medicinal qualities.
All of the plants in this blend are mineral rich making them ideal for daily use and to support organic and systemic vitality. Elderberries are rich in vitamins A, B, C, and amino acids, with trace amounts of iron, magnesium, copper, and other nutrients. In the Dominican Republic the berries are used as one of the elements mixed in with certain other plants (like Jagua) for pigmentation and skin coloring purposes while also being regarded as particularly healing to the skin due to their vitamins A and C content. This is a property Elderberries share with June plum leaves which also contain high amounts of vitamin C and enhance the bioavailability of the iron found in Elderberries. June plum leaves are a digestive aid and accentuate the power of several others found here like Cinnamon bark, Ginger root, and Hibiscus flowers. These four are a power mix for the digestion specifically because their combined effects target the liver and thus support the natural cleansing processes of the body. Through the benefit of improving organ performance, Four Seasons Syrup boosts immunity. When the different parts of the body each get what they need, our organism as a whole works more effectively how it is supposed to which also benefits our general livelihood.
Calendula flowers and Elderberries similarly share important qualities. Not only do they induce sweating which help break feverish conditions, but they also tone and strengthen the womb so this syrup is beautifully nurturing during the menstrual portion of the moon cycle. In my personal experience, it quickly relieves cramps. The way that Elderberries support the womb also strengthen the reproductive system’s innate cleansing capacity while creating ease in the flow of information between the reproductive organs, heart, and brain. Additionally, Calendula and Elderberries are both high in antioxidants and contain compounds which clear our old cellular debris and upgrades the functional health of our cells. Ginger, a well-known panacea, aids this process.
Hibiscus and Slippery elm bark, like Calendula flowers, are mucilage-rich and coat our organs with a layer that feeds our healthy gut bacteria thus serving as prebiotic components. All three of these have an affinity for the mucus membranes such as the nasal passages, throat, digestive tract, respiratory tract, stomach, mouth, nose, and even vagina. They are known to soothe and calm inflammations, irritations, and aggravations. In Ayurveda these are known as Pitta-pacifying so are indicated for conditions that include heat and sometimes even certain kinds of resulting dampness. Hibiscus and Calendula are beneficial for heart health and have been used to lower blood pressure all while supporting the flow of blood.
Overall, Four Seasons Syrup is a potent and effective full body tonic which targets every major organ system, supports proper activity, and ensures natural vitality.
