The Indigo Keys 5D is a continuation of the initial “The Indigo Keys and the Spiral Portal”. This go, the intention is to give the potions other forms, so we are moving through 5 phases/senses (since it’s 5D) in which we will be creating and sharing various expressions of The Indigo Keys and extension of the wisdom that has been gained through working with them and opening the corresponding portals. Phase 1 is the restocking of The 22 keys + 1 extra key for The Initiate who has gone through the journey from 0-21, so The Initiate is listed as Key 22. Alongside the restocking of the Keys, phase 1 also includes the creation and completion of 22 flower essences (Flowers of Life), each of which goes alongside one of the keys, serving as the flower of life that can bestow grace and soften the journey as we traverse the tree of life with the keys.
Parts 2-5 will be shared and revealed during those phases. Because the creator of all of this is an artist through and through, you can be sure to expect some more art that includes the Visual Remedies™ and Sonic Landscapes which will be the final form of the potions we have all been benefiting from through this work. Each phase culminates with a ceremony or online ‘event’ or happening that serves to mark the graduation from one level to the next. The Indigo Keys 5D is a manifestation of how the One expresses itself through Many and vice versa. We trust that this ongoing and evolving work will serve as a map which can guide us to truth. And so it is. (Enjoy the accompanying playlist, starting with a song for Key 0 and ending with a song for Key 22 — Youtube version / Spotify version)

the story:
In a lot of ways The Fool, as The Aspirant, is a baby - still in utero, even, incubating and awaiting the perfect moment for emerging into this world. The Aspirant is on their quest for self-knowledge, and by the time they reach Key 22: The Initiate, they have acquired a great deal of experience and moved into a certain level of mastery. Key 0 appears to open into a complex path when we consider the potential and possibilities, but this signature, by virtue of its 0 vibration and other elements, is one that affords us an emptiness within which to learn, grow, and create. The Aspirant is the key for those who are both student and teacher, who keep trust and wonder alive, able to make graceful contact with the simple wisdom of each moment. This key is formulated with herbs that stimulate intuition while simultaneously awakening artistic abilities — these sorts of medicines are perfect for the journey of The Aspirant, otherwise known as The Fool, for they provide clear vision and the skill needed to manifest it. There are several imbalances indicated as necessitating a dose of this medicine: unclear/foglike perception and perspective, coldness, hyperactivity, restlessness, and distrust, for instance. Schizandra is one the main guiding accomplices in this formula — being considered the ‘five flavors berry’ and working within the body to target the main energetic meridians, this one enables a recalibration of the entire energetic system, promoting the ‘reset’ reminiscent of the space one finds themselves in with this key. Schizandra is particularly suited as a tonic known for aiding one in adapting to stressful situations and ever-changing circumstances that one encounters within this journey. Reishi mushroom is another which is revered for their qualities of support and rejuvenation. Monks and those of the priest collective have regarded this one to be ideal for elevating the spiritual essence and activating mental focus and discipline. Because The Aspirant has quite a journey ahead of them, herbs like Reishi and Schizandra can bring relief from fatigue, all the while providing a wide array of healing benefits. Moringa is added to further the power of endurance and resilience that this tincture carries within it. Moringa is loaded with nutrients — from Vitamin A, C, E to Potassium, Magnesium, and other keys minerals. Moringa is one that brings nourishment into the body, making them a vital accomplice in any voyage of development, spiritual, emotional, mental, and/or physical. This plant is a great source of antioxidants, helping to fight free radicals caused by oxidative stress. The combination of Reishi, Schizandra, and Moringa is promising in its protective powers, and thus give us a solid combination of the type of reinforcement that The Fool needs on their journey. To bring in the receptivity and mental balance needed by this key to ensure a result contrary to folly and failure, Oatstraw and Maypop are included for their capacity to nourish the nervous system while also bringing calm to cognitive processes, allowing us to make clearer connections and direct and true conclusions. These allies, in combination, offer us a thorough concoction to take as we aspire to be more fully in tune with ourselves and further share of the wealth contained within. Key 0 is a tool for harmonizing and realizing.

the story:
Associated with the energetic signature of Mercury, Key 1 is a talisman of healing and for the adept in mind. With The Magician we are able to impact the world with a concentration of our individual will and power. Mercurial as they are, The Magician is the power of consciousness applied. This is the path of visions and magick, where we can develop seership qualities while helping us attain our intentions, wishes, and dreams. The true magician is an alchemist who can transform their life in a multitude of ways and activate change through mastery of the four elements of air, water, fire, and earth. Earth is contained in this formula by way of the herbs used — water is afforded through the menstruum used to extract the medicine within the plants, and the air and fire elements come forward through the qualities that the herbs used here offer us. Caraway is in the same family as others like Dill and Anise, and like others of this family, Caraway possesses a strong quality for strengthening the digestive system and moving stagnancy and coldness out of that area. Directly, this impacts the quality of how information is processed throughout the body, thus clearer connections are readily made. Caraway and other such aromatic herbs like Lavender and Sage have a direct impact upon the mental and psychological processes — they ease both receptivity and lucidity. Gentian root is another one that targets digestive function, and, with their strongly bitter quality, they aid in activating liver function which is an ideal work to further cleanse the body of toxins and fortify the aura for enhancing our magickal workings. Considering this key’s resonance with 1, it is useful to include these herbs which ultimately are targeting the solar plexus, the Sun (one) center within the body (along with the crown, which usage of Key 1’s formula activates). Furthermore, Lavender, Sage, Skullcap, and Hibiscus are very particular for balancing brain activity. Lavender is particularly relaxing to the senses, which can come in handy when one is overstimulated and may thus be experiencing a clouding of the thoughts. Combined with allies such as Sage and Skullcap, here is a strong synergy for mellowing vibrations and allowing a greater attunement to awareness through sensory experiences. Sage is specific for instilling a sense of wisdom and enlightenment, and with Skullcap, this is further pronounced as soothing to the nervous system while serving as anti-inflammatory throughout the body — ensuring that nerve signaling and connections can happen with more ease. Imbalances that respond well to key 1 include failure to recognize ability, blocked vision, restlessness, imbalanced emotions, and/or fear of taking on certain opportunities due to insecurity. Key 1 is a formula made to activate not only transparency within perception, perspective, and other cognitive and mental processes, but also meant to accentuate our capacity to co-create with the tools provided and gathered. As such, this is a great key to work with when one is diving into deeper and/or new study, so as to sharpen the mind. The Magician is an entity who recognizes the power in aligning themselves with the movement of the stars and the seasons of the Earth — often, The Magician is depicted with on hand pointing upward and the other pointing downward, suggesting “as above, so below”, so Key 1 is the remedy for those who can command with equilibrium.

FINAL FORMULA. THE MOST POTENT RENDITION. Representing the mysterious unconscious, The High Priestess is a fertile ground for creative impressions to take seed and incubate. Connected to the Moon, The High Priestess represents potential awaiting the active principle capable of bringing it to full expression (this is the graduation between The High Priestess, The Empress, and The Emperor). The High Priestess is a balancing force for The Magician’s creative impulse. She reminds us of the work yet to be done internally before venturing into a more explicit communication. Working with this key calls for a level of silence in the movement as the indications of this energy compel us to communicate with the sources within. Still dealing with the intellect, the 2 vibration is one that reflects a kind of “binary”, but truly it is the reflection of unity and the ability to perceive things visible and invisible. The High Priestess is a scientist in that this being is a knowing entity. The plants used here bring forward the disposition of intentional silence and fluid attunement to divine wisdom. Valerian helps instill beta brain waves which can help to reduce anxiety, alleviate stress and depression, all the while relieving chronic pain and even increasing athletic performance. Valerian has a steadying energy about them that can help us move between worlds as the High Priestess’s key is meant to. The combination of Valerian and Romerillo is effective as both an activator of intuition and a catalyst for lucidity. The High Priestess, existing in the realm where true knowledge is made evident and the true power of faith gives birth to the light within, is one whose key is for revelation and guiding. This is the path of masters coming and going upon the earth, simultaneously receiving and shedding illumination. Furthering the work with this one, they can help us commune with ancestral timelines to help us interpret and enact overdue healing. Like the lunar signature that governs this key, this root and flower medley activates memory and helps us to assess, process, and even tell our stories. Furthermore, this fortifies fluidity and simultaneous concentration of our forces and stamina. The journey of The High Priestess is one that can enhance our own awareness of self through allowing repose of the mind and recovery of precision and discernment. By allowing a tempering of the fires of current times with a dose of lunar chill, we can afford ourselves a great, needed, and deserved exaltation of the potential contained in our incubations.

the story:
Being symbolized by the door, Key 3 is one of fertility which opens doors into the material from the immaterial realm. With Key 3, we ground the visioning and dream work done within Key 2 - we give form to what we have seen and deemed worthy of reproducing. With The Empress, we walk upon a path of creative power and learn the importance of the principles of evolution and birth. The Empress is the companion of birth workers and shapeshifters, helping us as we facilitate the crossing of thresholds and the conversion to forms only previously imagined. Through this voyage, we receive revelation of the hidden talents and all the potential we can birth. This is where the abundance of Key 3 becomes pronounced, and the herbs combined to formulate it speak further to the prosperity we encounter in this harmonic fellowship. Roses and Lady’s Mantle are particular for these matters as both are members of the Rose family. Being members of the Rose family and knowing the simultaneously sweetness and danger (plenty of them have thorns) of these allies, Key 3 shows us the expression of balanced feminine. There is something so infinite about the creative potential of the unbegotten that is expressed as an ingenious force, capable of manifesting in so many forms, ways, and varieties. Roses are ideal for Empress work as they help exalt beauty and bring harmony into the heart, creating an effortless rhythm in simultaneously inventing and commanding our world. Roses and Lady’s Mantle both have an affinity for treating reproductive concerns and have been found to be moreover useful in toning those organs — this furthers their effectiveness for securing a healthy and balanced portal through which to nurture and birth seeds. Alongside Schizandra berries, Roses and Lady’s Mantle also express their energetics more harmoniously as Schizandra offers a lubrication to those organs after the astringent work of the other two promotes a drying of discharges and dampness causing issues such as inflammations, heat, and otherwise irritation. Schizandra is also particularly revered by the Emperors and royal people in ancient China, as they have been touted to preserve youth and thus ensure longevity. Furthering the somatic and sensual aspects of the grounding we experience through Key 3, Damiana is one well-known for boosting hormonal equilibrium while also improving libido and stimulating the sexual organs — this compliments and enhances some of the powers that Schizandra and others, like Blue Lotus, have. Damiana, also like Blue Lotus, is considered a love remedy. In ritual use, they are prepared as aphrodisiac to increase the magnetism between lovers. Blue Lotus has also been regarded and used for similar intentions. An ally of the Temple Priestess, Blue Lotus activates and electrifies the sexual charge, giving it more direction, allowing it to be used in whatever way the adept desires. With this sexual energy, one can make love or one can make a painting. Either way, these allies promote within us the capacity to create that which can transcend the present, encapsulate the past, and inform the future. With this formula, the timelines merge into a stream we can tap into for inspiration and guidance. The Empress is lover, mother, educator, creator, and so much more— this being is fiercely sovereign, also going beyond what can be named. Topping it off with Hibiscus, this is a formula that moves the Shakti and uncoils latent energy. Hibiscus, Roses, and Lotus flowers have long been combined in a traditional infusion that is often found in tantric and puja ceremonies. Hibiscus is said to help strengthen the quality and focus of our mantras and is considered sacred to Ma Durga, the force that is said to defend the world from threats to our coming peace and prosperity. Key 3 microcosmically invokes several types of consciousness through activating certain brain wave states. The rose is central, symbolizing the heart and love. Hibiscus provides support as the ultimate shakti and occult powers residing in the dark red hue of the feminine power substances. Lotus, Damiana, and Schizandra come to grant us enlightenment. This formula is an invocation for elevating communion with the Christ Child within — The Empress is lover, mother, educator, creator, child, and so much more. A dose of this Key opens a door that promises us restoration and ascension through the arousal of sensibility.

Whatever has been accumulating, pooling, and stagnating gets purged by the fire of this key. This key is one that reveals to us both our height and our depth on a spiritual level, reopening our eyes to who we truly are. The personal myths, which may no longer apply to us after this, get destroyed in the process of the purge, but with this comes the revealing of our true skin so to speak. Like the serpent which symbolizes this key, Strength brings us transformations that propel us to outgrow the old and be born into the ‘‘new’ and true. Like the lion also representing this arcanum, we are reminded of our inner sun and the uniqueness of our soul — this encourages and strengthens our will. Opening the door with Key 8, we overcome indecision and spiritual and material barriers. Nettle is an herb that instructs us on how the material can be affected by the spiritual and vice versa. Nettle is an accomplice who defends on different levels — in the body, they cleanse out toxins, move the blood, and nourish the system. Still on a physical/material level, they are considered to be related to the Mars energy because the thorns on the Stinging Nettle, in particular, provide a shielding and defensive sort of energy — here we see the evidence of a bridge between material and immaterial; Nettle protects themselves as they protect us and our bodies. They are also related to Mars because of their capacity to help with blood circulation, another Martian concern. Aiding the work within the blood, Hawthorn brings us into the heart as a herb well-known for their ability to heal and tone the heart. Hawthorn is regarded as one of the safest cardio-tonics. Hawthorn also has a particular nourishing quality that comes forth in their way of dispelling anxieties, nervousness, and other tension. In a nurturing way, they soothe and quiet discomfort. Hawthorn is also a member of the Rose family, possessing tannins that serve as a combination of both fire and air energy to alleviate any water imbalances such as discharges and other dampness. Interestingly enough, they can cool when hot while bringing heat and motion when cold or frigid. Astragalus root and Motherwort leaf support the tincture as another expression of nurturing because it is in this kind of softness that we find our greatest strengths. Astragalus root and Motherwort leaf always feel like they are reaffirming that things are going to be alright while encouraging to grow beyond comfort zones and self-imposed limitations. Astragalus lends a soft sweet flavor to this key, speaking of the way this tonic can lift our innerstanding through elevating our senses. Astragalus is ideal for people who are very physically active as they promote the endurance to complete tasks and maintain optimal performance. With Motherwort and Hawthorn, the heart healing properties of Astragalus come to the forefront. This is a recommended combination for people who experience burnout, indecision, or have a hard time with responsibilities. Key 8 is also ideal for those who are seeking to process emotions such as anger, frustration, or irritation. Milk thistle seeds are particular for both liver and brain function. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the liver is said to be the organ which can readily store anger. Bringing Milk thistle seeds into the work, Key 8 can help us discharge karma associated with those sorts of energies. Between the vibration of the number 8 which speaks to the energy of the planet Saturn and the herbs used in formula, Key 8 promises us an increase of will, strength, courage, and self-reliance through self-assuredness and with time.

the story:
In tarot, Temperance is read as a card about moderation, balance, patience, synthesis of elements. There are of course more interpretations and, depending on if other cards are pulled in a reading, the signification of arcanum 14 can take on a myriad of meanings. Fundamentally, Temperance represents one with the capacity to dwell in two worlds at once — it suggests liminality and groundedness all at the same time, so while this card signifies a certain equilibrium, it also insinuates the way we are called to task in our endeavors and are required to assume responsibility in what we commit to. Temperance is moderation and thoroughness, patience and consistency, balance and discernment. This card follows Key 13: Death in the procession of the tarot which moreover gives us a hint that what we are alchemizing in Key 14 is the lessons life has taught us and the fertile ground death has afforded us. Temperance teaches us that death brings a certain humility illuminating of the ways we may have abused resources and even our gifts. Etymologically, to “temper” means “to bring to a proper or suitable state” and also “to mix correctly” — herein lie the alchemical overtones of this key. With Temperance, we are given a chance to try again but with more mindfulness, to be wise in our combinations for crafting healing remedies whether with our thoughts, words, actions, or creations. All this considered, the herbs used in this tincture bring forward a harmonic disposition, being especially nourishing to the nervous system following any moment of death, change, transformation, sudden upgrades. Holy basil aka Tulsi is the primary plant in this formula serving as a tonic for mind, heart, and full body. In Ayurvedic tradition, Holy basil is regarded as a transformative herb which can help us adjust to the rhythms of life’s ebb and flow. Tulsi is also protective of the heart, lowering blood pressure and easing us into calm — this is deeply reminiscent of the overall energetic signature of Key 14. Like most aromatics, this herbal accomplice can aid digestion, uplift our spirits, and clarify our psychoemotional aspects. Skullcap accentuates all of this. Another mint family plant, Skullcap is also a nervous system tonic and strengthener, helping to instill a sense of serenity and also being helpful to those who experience insomnia, anxiety, and the like. Skullcap has documented use in the treatment of epilepsy and other seizure-inducing conditions. The combination of Tulsi and Skullcap has also proven effective in reducing feelings of withdrawal from addiction to substances and even repetitive habits. The tempering quality of these is effective for brain health. Catnip is the other mint family plant here. In magickal traditions, Nepeta (Catnip) is employed for love magick, to bring peace into the home, and to help in conflict resolution within families — all of these uses being reflective of the otherwise physical healing medicine of this plant who has a balancing force. Like other mint family plants, Catnip also benefits the digestive system, the heart, and the immune system. Marshmallow root decoction furthermore exalts the tempering qualities of the tincture by soothing our internal processes, decreasing irritations, inflammations, and aggravations. Ashwaghanda is another one used in Ayurvedic tradition for yoga and meditation because they ease mental processes and calibrate our thinking into coherence. Further applications of this root lend themselves well as aphrodisiac which when paired with Rose and Orange peel is moreover enhanced. The sexual stamina intensifying property may seem counterintuitive in the process of Temperance, but our sexual energy is essential to the creative expression inherent in alchemical workings. All of these plants have more uses than can be enumerated here, but they essentially bring calm, promote creativity by increasing sexual energies, and also promote clear and truth-based decision making — all expressions of the codes in Key 14.

the story:
The Star corresponds to the zodiac sign Aquarius and is a key of faith, inspiration, wisdom, and creative insight. With The Star, we learn how to use our energies to manifest our dreams. Within this path, we find the release of energies that force us to examine and deal with the higher aspects of sexuality, and thus enables us to come into contact with incredible creative power. With Key 17, inventive solutions to age-old problems are swiftly revealed. Like the Eagle which symbolizes this formula, our view is heightened to a wider vantage point and we are offered great spiritual inspiration directly from the stars. Key 17 is ideal for astrologers or those seeking to become more acquainted with this science and art of the stellar forces. Because of the renewal contained within this card, after journeying through the preceding Key 16, here we are stimulated to experiment with new ideas and inventions and we may find ourselves seeking community to reinforce whatever healing process is present. Hawthorn, Holy Basil, Ginger root combine in warmth to help quell some of the weaknesses that can show up as the adverse presentation of The Star. Holy Basil, a nutrient-dense plant, is considered a sacred one. Containing a rich blend of certain essential oils, they are found to be effective in alleviating respiratory issues, heart issues, and even acne. With Ginger root, they are useful for alleviating headaches due to sinus pressure or high blood pressure — this is even more so the case when all three, Hawthorn, Holy Basil, and Ginger are combined. Furthermore, in healing the upper parts of the body, Key 17 ensures that our crown and 3rd eye are clear to receive the insight, vision, and wisdom offered in this path. Eleuthero is otherwise known as Siberian Ginseng and, like other Ginsengs, has the capacity to increase vitality while decreasing fatigue and mental strain. Eleuthero boosts energy levels by its impact on the nervous system and ensuring grace in movement of the blood. This increase in blood flow tends to be particular for healing cognitive and neurological disorders — Eleuthero helps to stave off free radicals that build up in the brain, keeping neural pathways clear while increasing memory and focus. This is perfect for the adventure with Key 17. The energetic imbalances which respond well to this formula include fear of following dreams, self-doubt, lust, or idleness. Skullcap is one very specific for targeting those disharmonies by promoting calm and instilling a greater will to innerstand — just with their unwinding energy, they provide us with the stillness needed to reach to the higher aspirations within heart and mind. Angelica (Angelica archangelica), the more deeply medicinal version of Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis), is particular for the reproductive system in its healing power. Angelica is blood stimulating, helping to move energy into the pelvic region and bringing about menstruation in people whose cycle is delayed or disturbed. This ally, perfect as the representative plant for Key 17, helps to open the mind and imagination and for this reason has been used in traditional sweat lodge ceremonies. Hoodoos have prescribed the carrying of Angelica root alongside the Fiery Wall of Protection oil to women seeking protection from violent ex-lovers. Truly this formula is made of herbs that offer all of the vibrational support required for The Star’s path of creativity, independence, and evolution.

the story:
The Hebrew letter Resh corresponds to The Sun card. Resh means head, and in this part of the tarot, it indicates the face as opposed to the back of the head — thus, Key 19 is directly connected to recognition and other forms of enlightenment. Moreover, the correspondence between The Sun and the head speaks to this card’s association with the beginning of things — we even see this represented in the numerical resonance of 19 being ‘reduced’ to 1, but even more so when seeing 1 and 9 separately, we see two entities holistic in their own right and thus capable of both being 1, all the same. Key 19 enlightens us by giving us direct and clear signaling; Like the facial expressions which can reveal so much about those we are communicating with, including self, Key 19 offers us distinct and perceivable indications of what we are creating, encountering, and experiencing. With The Sun, we find light within the dark and our vision opens in all environments of our potentials. In pathworking, The Sun card is used to open doors to the ancient lodges and mystery schools with all of their magickal and ritual tools and techniques. The sparrowhawk, an ancient solar symbol, is a bird of prey which can teach us a lot about the control and speed by which opportunities can be seized. The plants used to formulate this key are as bright and brightening as The Sun which governs it. Chamomile and Goldenrod flowers, showing a clear connection to the sun with their yellow appearance, are distinct in their work within the sinuses and the upper respiratory tract, helping to clear any congestion that could be occluding the visions and obstructing perception. Chamomile also treats the stomach and helps to clear it of any stagnation — the stomach is another solar portal within the body. Goldenrod is an ally used for the upper body but also for the middle and lower body. Goldenrod has been used for everything from treating joint pain to addressing UTIs and kidney and bladder infections. Working within the water meridians of the body, Goldenrod stabilizes the water in the body. Furthermore, in targeting and treating the organ meridian (kidneys/bladder) which connects to reproduction, Goldenrod proves supportive for creatives who draw from those reserves and their Jing essence. Moringa is one that brightens both the Jing and the Chi, serving as a medicine to reverse the effects of time and experience on the body and spirit. Moringa is particularly nutrient-dense, so they assist the energizing of the body to match the level of physical vitality that Key 19 simultaneously calls for and promises. Gotu kola and Ginger root both boost circulation of blood to the brain, so they are true aids in this excursion into light. Allies like Ginger and Star Anise are paired to provide antifungal and antiparasitic support, ensuring that the initiatives we move forward in with Key 19 do not meet inactivity or interruption from parasitic entities. When fears of failure or even ego-centricism threaten your progress, Key 19 resounds as preventative and curative measure. The Sun, in all its brilliance, promises us much alignment with our own inner prophecies and inspiration through insight into alchemical transformation.

the story:
Arriving at Key 21 might trigger deep sighing signifying a sense of relief. A soul journey in its own right, the movement through the 22 major secrets of the tarot is arduous and, for some, long, but once you have arrived at the 21st secret, you are granted the key which opens the door to other possibilities — you are reminded that there are 4 (or 5) elements with which you can create the ten thousand things and are thus reminded that you have the power to reinvent your experience, perhaps with more innerstanding about who you really are and your purpose within a particular timespiral. The keynote of “graduation” is made evident through The World’s astrological connection to Saturn — Saturn is an energetic signature which deals with things that happen over a long period of time, so of course Key 21 is about evolution into the next level of our consciousness, experience, and existence. The plants used in the formula combine to form a full body tonic which comes in handy when moving into another layer of your experience in which you may require greater protection and strength. This is a nourishing and reinforcing remedy crafted with a Marshmallow root decoction; Marshmallow root is cooling, moistening, and is soothing to the gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary systems which helps to reduce inflammations and any resulting pains. Althaea (Marshmallow’s other name) is effective for all sorts of dryness: dry skin, dry throat, dry mouth, dry vagina, etc. This is especially important for those who experience an excess of Saturn energy in their natal chart and/or overall constitution, those who may be Vata dominant (according to Ayurveda). Oatstraw is another plant in the formula which can provide moisture and increase the waters of the body, promoting an overall flow state in our thought processes and the cleansing of our organs. The rich content of magnesium in Oatstraw is also useful for this and furthermore helps to relax cramping and tension in muscles. Between Marshmallow root and Oatstraw alone, we are gifted a supportive elixir for times of great transition. Spearmint and Cinnamon bark also come in handy for Saturnian matters and pair well with other plants such as Elderflowers and Elderberries to help combat viral conditions, illness, and dis-ease, providing antimicrobial assistance to our system. Spearmint is known to ward off fungi and bacteria, lending relief when one is experiencing things such as Candida, bacterial vaginosis, parasites, and other such conditions. A cleanser mint, they also prompt digestive release and relief, and when combined with Cinnamon can stimulate digestion further by enhancing production of bile. Both Spearmint and Cinnamon are used in magickal and healing practices to increase psychic and mental powers, so they offer us depth in perception and expansion of perspective. Nettles aids all of these processes with their blood tonic qualities — blood toning is useful for upgrading our genetic coding and facilitating spiritual evolution. Part of the spiritual uses of Nettle are for undoing evil works cast against us so that any deterrent in the process is removed and we can continue on our way. It has also been noted, through personal study, that dedicated work with Nettle can also catalyze creative action and solution. The aromatics in unison with Urtica (Nettle) inspire productivity and a progressive temperament. The Milkweed essence as a final touch in this one is symbolic of and conducive to the transformation inherent in Key 21. According to the Flower Essence Society, Milkweed essence “is used to raise the soul from a state of lethargy and regressive helplessness, to help it to incarnate and to wake up a pathologically withdrawing ego”. Furthermore, the essence can help us establish a healthy sense of self which, perhaps unsuspectingly, is a hallmark of the graduation and elevation occurring within this arcanum. Gracefully, we are moved into true self-awareness and self-responsibility, learning a very important lesson regarding the importance of shedding indoctrination and stepping more fully into personal truth as informed by universal law.

the story:
The major arcana of the tarot contains 22 cards — one of them, commonly known as The Fool, is numbered either 0 or 22. In the initial rendition of The Indigo Keys potions, Key 0 was formulated as The Fool, but with the developments in graduation, Key 0 has been labeled as The Aspirant who seeks knowledge and Key 22 as The Initiate who has undergone a certain period of study and apprenticeship to learn from the skills and expertise of a master — both Keys 0 and 22 are expressions of the same soul presence. Moreover, Key 22 is an evolved form of Key 0. Key 22 is for the practice of what was learned from Keys 0-21. The Initiate is an entity who remains in self-assessment as they are aiming at refining their character and exalting their gifts and qualities. This tincture is made with herbs that promote a certain kind of discipline within people — this makes it exceptional for those who are master builders and are working on matters that equal legacy and longevity. Gotu kola and Skullcap are known allies for brain function, helping to bring equilibrium while exalting the talents of the mind — intuition, prophecy, artistic insight, clairaudience, etc all respond well to this formula and come to the forefront of our expression when we use it. Gotu kola has been used by yogis to develop the crown chakra and enhance meditation — gotu kola helps deepen the breath and endows us with the capacity to very fluidly receive divine ‘downloads’ and ‘upgrades’. The properties of Skullcap assist the work of Gotu kola by serving as a rejuvenating accomplice. Skullcap strengthens the adrenals glands while cleansing the blood to treat skin and other impurities showing up within the body and mind. They also help to combat high blood pressure and ease us into the tranquility required by one who is adept and initiated as they move about their daily existence. Blue Lotus flowers paired with Gotu kola give us slight aphrodisiac qualities, so this is tantric elixir of sorts which can help us to cycle of sexual and creative energies for optimal use. Blue Lotus also supports the liver and stomach, helping in the fortification of our information processing systems in the body. Key 22 elevates and the innerstanding and raises the spirits. With Reishi mushroom, we have further reinforcement for spiritual workings. Reishi is considered one for bringing about a reverent attitude that enables us to lucidly perceive the webs that connect us. The Initiate’s tincture is for those who seek to levitate within their own bodies and transcend through higher perspectives. By the time one arrives at this part of the journey, the lessons of the 22 arcana have been well-learned and are consistently being applied.
