The 22 Flowers of Life is part of an art, medicine, research, and education project by Elsie Lopez continuing from The Indigo Keys and the Spiral Portal collection, now showing up and operating as Indigo Keys 5D. It is a multimedia/multidimensional/multisensory exploratory work which starts with a single-flower flower essence as an initiating point in continuing through another level of the journey with the 22 tarot keys. All of the flower & plant essences in this collection were crafted bioregionally with flowers & plants growing and living in Southeast USA, primarily Florida & the Caribbean. They are native & natural, and some are regarded as “weeds” by some, nevertheless we recognize the ecological value of these flowers and live in devotion to our collective / interspecies livelihood. Thus these remedies are also environmental essences which encapsulate an abundant landscape.
A note about using flower essences: flower essences are not oils. They are vibrational healing remedies which affect and change energetic conditions and, like some oils and other medicines, can be used internally, on acupunture/acupressure points and chakras, sprayed in the energy field, dripped in your water, and even used for personal and professional massaging. It is best to use an essence or combination and/or group of essences for 30-33 days to permanently shift patterns and create new habits, healthier lifeways.

flower profile and essence creation story:
One of my favorite scents, my relationship with Gardenia is so deep for me that I smell them hours before I encounter them. It has happened to me about several times - I’ll be in a car or somewhere else miles away from where Gardenia is and I smell them all of a sudden. Some time later, I happen upon a Gardenia, always happy almost to the point of tears. I’ve been becoming intimate with them since my time at the university starting in 2009. Someone who I was close with at that time would bring me Gardenias from her grandparents yard every time they had some. I don’t think it is a coincidence that this was around the time that it became clear to me what I wanted to spend my days focusing on. Fasting forwarding through about 3 years of working diligently with this essence, and it is evident that Gardenia is precise in their ‘mechanism’. This is an essence that comes in handy when one feels out of order, or like they need to establish a more conducive structure in their daily life. There is a very left-brain sort of attribute to this essence’s impact. Through my university experience, I found it enhanced my organizational and higher order thinking skills. When I wanted to just chill in the park, on my favorite tree, and not do my work, a few drops of Gardenia would motivate to see all of my projects through to complete with joy and clarity and no crazy side effects. Adderall who? Ha. The essence of Gardenia has also been found to be effective for releasing resentments we may feel towards family and others who we may have strong soul ties with. This one pairs very well with one like Goldenrod flower essence particularly when attempting to undo binds relating to family and cultural or social circles that one might feel unsupported by. Combining this essence with Moonstone essence, Divine Principle is also ideal in keeping a balance within our mental faculties, so that both are working in harmonious unison and not discordantly. Thus, intuition and logic make friends and find their common ground has always existed. Divine Principle, reinforced by the essence of Tektite, shields us from ever-increasing threats against our personal space and sanity, energetically serving as one to seal holes in the auric field. Through and within, this one brings us to our infinite nature, untethered and yet grounded in its potential. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 1: The Magician.

flower profile and essence creation story:
The day that this essence was created was a personal day of silence, unplanned but surely welcomed. The deep receptivity that these flowers activated me with were ones that helped to further affirm that this essence is indeed the one that corresponds to Key 2 : The High Priestess. Spanish needles, when used in tincture, infusion, or other more directly medicinal form, has the capacity to treat womb and kidneys, heart and stomach. Their essence translates well as one to help us properly synthesize information through the relative portals within the body. Continuing the process of crafting the essence, I noted bees continuously coming to the bowl to kiss the flowers. It felt like they were adding of their own essence to this water. It felt clear, like they were instructing me on the potential of this flower as one capable of being internally silent while remaining diligent in their duties and simultaneously buzzing through life, as the bee who knows exactly what they are doing. My mental querying went further into investigating why this flower which appears so abundantly and everywhere, and thus seems ‘loud’ in their disposition could correspond to The High Priestess, and immediately the word “ancestors” came to my mind, so I figured this one would be one to help us become more aware of who our specific ancestors are, where they have been, yet it wasn’t until I began to work with the essence directly that it made sense why this is the case. Since beginning the work with Ancestral Apparitions, many of my ancestors, some distant and some close, some from the North American continent and others not, have revealed themselves. The ways through which they have is where the magick lies as this is an essence that really imparts a recognition of instant intuition and insight when it arises. The way things are revealed with this essence is very subtle and silent, so it invites us into a level of presence that is easily missed in the havoc and rush rush motion of the current society. Continuing the work with this essence, we find that they help to enhance the vividness of dream recollection — that is another of their instant effects; it was something experienced the same first night it was used. Spanish needles flower essence is also ideal for strengthening our aura and etheric bodies so that we encounter less of the energies that would be imposing on our boundaries. This flower essence provides a shielding effect for the mind, while also healing and facilitating the shedding of old mental ideas and obsolete plans. Ideal for clearing space before entering into more creative zones so that there is order and cohesion with the incoming flow. The frequencies of 2 and 5, resonating strongly with this essence, are one of priest and a wise being who can communicate truth with clarity, so Ancestral Apparitions is one for teachers and healers alike. Furthermore, this one has a simultaneous grounding and uplifting energy, reminding us of how present spirit is in our lives. Something else that stands out about the effects of this essence is that it makes us confront the intuitive feelings we have been ignoring and reminds us of why we cannot continue to do so. An essence which helps to balance the water, fire, and earth energies within our bodies, Ancestral Apparitions is essential for the visionaries and conduits of truth. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 2: The High Priestess.

flower profile and essence creation story:
A cleansing and activating essence, Hibiscus reminds us of what is true, while we continue to weave spells of healing and wholeness in a time when some are hellbent on sustaining their distortions and fragmentations. Hibiscus comes to remind you how power-full your creative potential is and what can happen when you begin to act on the medicine of your innovation and the evolution that your experiences and the lessons in them offer you. An essence prepared on a Scorpio moon, this one moves the sometimes still waters within. With the reproductive parts of this plant growing as they do, more so outwardly, it is no wonder that they have a direct impact on those areas of our physiology. Just like they burst forth from the flowers, so do the long-seated emotions, traumas, and otherwise stored energies, creative and emotional expressions come pouring like hot lava from a volcano awaiting its moment of release. In the observation of this moment, we can comprehend the shifts that may lead us into a true metamorphosis of our form, forward into complete soul embrace. Hibiscus flower essence paired with Obsidian essence is exceptional for showing us areas where we can emancipate ourselves from emotional imbalance and the ways it can manifest - lack of confidence in sexuality, overactive sexual libido at times, feeling creatively blocked, experiencing infertility or frigidity, fear of affirming what brings you healthy pleasure, fear of emotional self-expression or hostile expressions of emotions, premature ejaculation, etc - all also at times being indicators of deeply seated trauma. When one has experienced sexual abuse of which one has not had closure, Hibiscus comes to teach us creative ways to absolve these energies and get rid of the haunting ghost - Obsidian is particularly suited for this work also, really helping one to move forward from those experiences. A symbol of beauty, Hibiscus reminds us of our innate grace and elegance, and can physically help to correct our posture while aiding the relief of blockages in the spine and lower back. This is an essence that aids well when receiving chiropractic adjustments, for instance. Serpentine and Clear quartz come forward to further support this work by activating the uncoiling of kundalini energy for proper use in every day tantra and creation. The work of this is so profound that imbalances in hormones are remedied with consistent use, attesting to the work being done not only within the reproductive center but also within the pineal and pituitary (3rd eye) glands. A full connection afforded also through our spinal strengthening. Furthering the fertilizing power of such surrender to one’s heart hot life force water womb flow, Rose quartz elevates the love and encourages us to allow pleasure and bliss to fill us with light in the openings of those old and transmuting wounds. The summary of these essences combined with the intent of ‘Clear Water, Fertile Earth’, this one is consecrated to magnifying your intentions for abundance and creative expression. This essence frees you from being stuck in feeling ‘doomed’ to experience pain and suffering. Here you are reminded that you have the power to direct your life in accordance with divine purpose. Anu Day, Bright Ray is truly an essence for the time. An awakener in its own right, this one is wired with the energetic patterns of Morning Glory flowers who greet the Sun with a graceful opening. In this way, the Morning Glory flower essence enables one to fully embrace daylight and open up to the possibilities of the day, vibrant and alert, crown activated. This one came to me at the crossroads, when the direction was unclear and the reasons for certain decisions seemed senseless. Morning Glory offered me clarity beyond denial, helped me see the obvious to the degree that I was able to recognize the vibrational frequency of what and who I had been engaging with and without second thought make swift and necessary adjustments in order for me to be in true alignment with my own self. Anu Day, Bright Ray really helped me see and take action toward my self-preservation and fully attuned self-realization. Sometimes we receive messages, and it is not until later in time and life that the messages make true lucid sense to us. Morning Glory teaches us that it is okay if we don’t get it or comprehend right away by showing us how we can always decide to grow beyond where we have been limiting ourselves. Perhaps you have been stuck in repetitive cycles and activities, dealing with people and entities who make it hard for you to correspond with your truest self — Morning Glory is a medicine for this. This flower essence awakens us each day and through trying moments so that we may experience the thorough abundance of our energy, furthermore becoming aware of where there is a leak or depletion of our forces. When things have been chaotic, mentally, emotionally, or physically, Morning Glory offers relief through providing a focus into solutions that can aid these moments. It helps us feel refreshed and able to be fully embodied, not distracted or in attempt to escape the uncomfortable. This one is also ideal for those who have been struggling with withdrawal or other discomforts of the motions to break away from destructive relationships with substances and people who we have abused or been abused by. Anu Day is for release from addiction and addictive behaviors. It helps us become aware of the physical in such a way that we can comprehend the healing that we have been denying ourselves with our thoughts, words, and actions. With its bright ray energy, it helps to illuminate and order our minds so that we can think differently about situations that we may have a hard time moving forward from due to lack of a more expansive perspective. Anu Day, Bright Ray is also indicated for this age in which many of us spend a lot of time in our heads and minds due to the overstimulation of the 3rd eye and crown chakra by the media in this age of information. It helps to bridge the gap between heart and mind so that we can be acutely aware of what is most useful and conducive for us in each moment. For those who struggle to ground and relax into a resting state, that bridge is effective in alleviating any anxieties that may be causing insomnia or other imbalances within both the nervous and immune systems. Morning Glory flower essence is potentiated with healing energy for the solar plexus and digestive organs, helping us make sense of information received and assimilate for optimal usage. If digestive organs such as the liver or stomach are compromised, Morning Glory flower essence softly returns them to a balanced state and soon the entire organism is more harmonious. Restoration to this part of us equals to an overall centered and balanced disposition and a stronger, clearer foundation from which to operate. Embracing this new day, we are easily able to step into the timeline that is configured for earthing our mind so that our manifestations may be more coherent, consistent, and sensibly arranged. Anu Day, Bright Ray is a flower essence for vitalizing the body, proper structuring of our energetic frequencies, and lasting release from what stagnates and slows our flows. The flowers that this is made with come from a mother plant which grows near by the Mimosa tree which offered us the flowers for Unique Antennas: Mimosa Flower Essence. This is telling due to the fact that both Unique Antennas and Guardian of Truths provide us with deeper insight into information that others may consider controversial or otherwise challenging to the systems currently in place. Guardian of Truths is particular for the process of learning and education and building upon what one already knows but may have had to release in practice for lack of evolution within it. This is a flower essence crafted through several days and waxing moon in Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Virgo. Earth sign to earth sign, this flower essence is meant to make solid the expansion we experience within through study and the process of practice. It is one for those participating in the reconstructing from the current moment of destruction. It is one that enables the mind to see what solutions would bring about the most sustainable changes and a truly new day, rising swiftly after a long dawn. Ixcanan flowers are revered as sacred by the indigenous peoples in Belize and other parts of the Americas. The name Ixcanan means “guardian of the forest” and speaks very directly to the plant’s energy of protection and guardianship of all that is true and eternal — this one is for reminding us of the inner structures that hold us up and the outer ones which provide a reflection for ecosystems and lifeways which can enable us to thrive in community and as individuals, alike. Firebush flower essence is an ideal treat for those who are sharpening their skills as educator and, naturally, becoming an even greater student of the truth. Indigenous people have used this one as a medicine for beautifying the skin, and we find that as we use this essence, it helps to illuminate what is beautiful about what is already present around and within us and shows us more of how to continue in an abundance of that energy of beauty. It reveals the layers through clarifying and purifying, while simultaneously exalting the capacity to not only be aware of the essence within things but also our ability to coherently and effectively communicate our findings and expansion to those who may learn from us. Ixcanan, guardian of forests, protects us in the wild spaces within, helping us find the way through into deeper and more holistic innerstandings, guarding us as we uncover and share the lushness of our mind, guiding us into a more resolute sense of being, true to source self. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 5: The Hierophant.

flower profile and essence creation story:
One rising in the early spring of 2020, I noticed the pink Azaleas in bloom — a sight to behold indeed; The moment of me noticing their blooming followed a night of communion with Ezili Danto in which I had asked her for a sign. I intuitively knew the Azalea was a part of the signaling I would receive in this season, also gracefully being one whose essence would help me augur the motions and movements in my surroundings. The spring of the year prior, I’d intended to make an Azalea flower essence but instead waited as that time didn’t feel quite right. In 2020, however, the alignment felt perfect; timing divine — the sign I was seeking was one to inform what I might need to shed of my connections to others; a stagnation felt present alongside a lurking enmity I couldn’t quite place though notably external. As one with a strong 7th house presence in my natal chart, matters of relation and relating seem to be at the fore of my experiences quite often — this astrological aspect is also part of why entering into connection with all of creation feels so natural to me because it is… reminding me that sometimes bonds need to be broken and ties need to be cut so that healing can happen, while others seek reinforcement through evaluation, attention, communion, and adjustment. I spent the following days sitting with the Azalea, in meditation, feeling into the matrix of this entity and all the secrets they contained. Eight days following the initial recognition of Azalea’s return, I went to go sit with the flowers when I vividly, through my mind’s eye, saw a woman standing in front of the bush, sword in her right hand, gently smiling. In my head I thought, “Ezili, is that you?” I swooned and cried a bit because of course I knew. After my daily meditation in front of the bush, Abalone shell on my womb under a belly bind, I thought to make essences of the two, Azalea and Abalone, so I obliged. The moments felt as divinely ordained as they were. It was around that time when a big purge of the heart ensued — I hadn’t even internalized the essence in water but the work had already begun. In that moment, it all made sense — Azalea had been working with me since the moment when I first considering making an essence with them the year before. There is a way about plants and how they feel and respond to our intentions, how once we consent to integrating their wisdom into our consciousness and awareness, the relation begins as swiftly as the thought happens. In this and other ways, plants are masters at relation and connection, and Azalea is one whose essence really holds that kind of imprint. Working more deeply with this one, we learn a number of things regarding the variety of their offerings. Ezili’s Azalea, as this potion quite naturally claimed its name the same day it was made, holds a strong Libran frequency, needless to say the 3 air signatures are all present here. It is crafted with 5 separate essences combined and dancing in rose water and rum with a bit of honey; their carriers reflective of the sweetness and clarity that these essences bring. Azalea flowers at the core of this is quite gracefully one which helps us attune to the wisdom of how self-love, self-acceptance, and self-compassion can be expanded into a vibration of seeing the good/god in the world around us with greater lucidity. It enables us to open the heart in a way that is discerning in giving and receiving, all the same. Azalea flowers holds a vibrational healing potential that helps us to address fears, particularly those stemming from childhood roots, and thus do the root work necessary to move through issues of fear-based decision-making and thinking. This offers us the tools to refine how we interact outside of the self; with others, person, plant, cat, kin, deer, bear, water, fire, earth, air, all — the path to harmony is made clear, and we may walk the beauty way. In the zodiac, Gemini (another air signature that this essence also corresponds to) is a child; they is also an air sign, a Mercurial force, a thinker of all the things. This blend, containing Abalone shell essence, is one particularly suited for healing the inner child within — balance is trinary, and the child is a prime (numbers, aha) representation of the union of 1 and 2. Thus Ezili’s Azalea nurtures and assures us, reminds us that it is okay to play, to wander, to wonder, to think long and deep, to imagine and envision new and brighter worlds…. To get there and be in that peace, however, a purge may be necessary. The combined power of Black Obsidian and Abalone shell is one that facilitates just that, so with this we are able to then step into connections and relations in the world from a refined perception and perspective — we can really embody the balance that The Lovers may offer us. This is also the balance seen in Ezili when we see her holding sword in one hand with a child cradled in her arm. This is an essence that heals not only the masculine and feminine within, but also bring needed remedy for the mother and child. The symbol of the sword and the essence of abalone have a great synergy for matters of communication. A softening energy, Abalone helps us to tune to spaces deep within, resonant with ancient tongue communions of the womb, the waters, the heart. They help us attune to the original, authentic, and timeless inside of us. Here, hear, Aquarius… Strengthening the centers from the heart to the crown, Ezili’s Azalea is an essence blend which reminds us how the processes of respiration (not just our own, but that of trees and other plant beings, for instance) facilitate the continuation of our existence and the connections to a ‘higher’ transcendent source, all the same. We gives thanks for the balance. Magnolia offers the touch of divine love and elevated consciousness. They open to the sun, reminiscent of a crown not too overwhelmed to receive. We give thanks for the fusion potentials with this flower’s qualities and those of the Black Obsidian whose work to heal the mind and heart through reawakening of memory is furthermore evidenced as a release of blockages and limiting beliefs. Potent. Give thanks. Imbibe this coded knowing. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 6: The Lovers

flower profile and essence creation story:
Borago para el corazon. Borage for the heart, of the heart.
The roots of the word “Borago” have been debated, but all theories contain similar themes. According to various sources it is believed that the Latin borago is a derivative of the word corrago, having the roots cor for “heart” and ago for “to lead”. Another herbalist regarded that the Celtic term barrach meaning “a man of courage” could also correspond to this plant’s name. And still other renditions of its origins speak to the hairs that grow along the flowers — the Italian borra and French bourra meaning “hair” or “wool”. In general, there is an association between borage, courage, and the heart.
I have seen Borage growing in various places throughout Florida, but it wasn’t until I spotted them growing in a friend’s garden that I decided to craft an essence while also taking that experience as an opportunity to bond with my friend by teaching her how to make a flower essence. We made Borage essences together, and it didn’t immediately occur to me then but this moment of collaborative essencing precisely illustrates the frequency with which Borago embues us — an energy of relational harmony, heart openness, and energetic reciprocity.
Borage has a long history of use as an herbal remedy, and many of its medicinal applications mirror their more subtle qualities. A lot of its prescriptive use applies to the kidneys, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems. Borage has an affinity for the air and water of our bodies. Meditating upon the plant’s appearance and composition, one can see how it touches upon both light and dense features within us. The leaves have a mucilage-rich characteristic which is part of why it is employed in respiratory support formulae. In essence form, this shows up as this flower being indicated when one is experiencing heavy heartedness, grief, sadness, or lack of courage. The glowing blue lightness of their flower suggests a simultaneously uplifting and calming aura — we find that Borage is indicated most when one is experiencing the mental fog or inability to focus that results from long bouts of grief that leave one feeling burnt out and scattered. This is an essence that helps to gather our forces and revitalizes us after depletion. This revitalization happens in a way that is steady and exact. It is a plant often used in preparations of cordials for its strengthening and toning effects on the heart which is also a result of its psychoemotional impact. Other symptoms for which Borage provides relief include: looping negative thoughts, lack of confidence, burdened or depressed disposition, weak boundaries, listlessness and boredom. Overall, Borage is a true heart medicine which enables us to experience the ebullience necessary to see ourselves into the light of more promising days and enriching experiences.
There are many reasons why but this flower essence is unlike any other I have ever worked with. Borage has a way of supplying us with the exact support we need in each moment, revealing themselves as having a particularly sympathetic signature. It has provided me with the fortitude to sustain the expansions afforded to me following long overdue personal developments, and it is in this spirit that I share this remedy with you.

flower profile and essence creation story:
The 8th Sense is also known as “interoception”, a sense of knowing what is going on inside of our bodies. Interoception is achieved through a communication of the sensory receptors inside the organs and skin and the brain. This appears to regulate basic things like hunger, thirst, bathroom needs, etc, yet it also has an impact on emotional responses. Some people may become moody or angry when they are hungry, for instance, experiencing alleviation of those emotions once they eat. Furthermore, interoception is part of the processing that can have one deemed as overly sensitive or insensitive in varying degrees and instances. The Sensitive Plant, aka Partridge Pea, is one that displayed a swift attunement on this level. Partridge Pea flower essence has shown to be ideal for becoming more deeply aware of what our consciousness is perceiving on all levels, physical through spiritual, while also helping to balance out where perceptions may be exaggerated or there is the result of hypersensitive responses impacting the emotional space. This helps us open up and feel safe again after experiencing somatic traumas and ‘blows’ to the heart, especially regarding relationships and more intimate affairs. The 8th Sense is a flower essence for the Sensitive Kind who may often be misunderstood in their disposition. With Partridge Pea we remember that we can be safe while being sensitive and open, remaining protected and strong within the self. This one also helps to elevate what we are sensing and transmute any associated discomforts into information that can guide us. Patridge Pea flower essence helps to build up resilience and endurance within the body when used long-term — Cherokee used the root to prevent their people from tiring during physical activity, and the Seminole similarly used a cold infusion of the plant of bodily weakness and fainting spells. This is just further affirmation of the strength in this supportive plant. The strongest, most brilliant minds and hearts are often also the most sensitive. Like the foliage that make up this ally, The 8th Sense aids us in discerning when to be open and when it is time to retreat. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 8: Strength.

flower profile and essence creation story:
It’s not that I see a flower and immediately know I am going to make an essence with it; it’s more so the case that there’s a moment when it dawns on me that I should almost like the flowers themselves are nodding, “NOW is the time”. Sometimes this does happen the moment I meet them in person, but most often it is a courting process which conjures within both myself and the flowers the comfort to share more intimately of ourselves. Sometimes it’s after I’ve consumed the plant in other ways that the flowers offer themselves to me in a very essential way, and indeed this was the case with Japanese Indigo flowers.
An Indigo plant from which I had extracted pigment whispered that an essence of her flowers would benefit me, and that it did. She grew in my garden amongst figs, mulberries, sweet potato, and plenty of Cuban jute. She grew even more after I planted other Indigo babies around her. I witnessed it and saw her flowers go through stages of varying coloration from white to pink to white to pink. Together these colors shifted my vision and clarified to me that this is just what they do.
NOW is the time
an important phrase in the work that Japanese Indigo does. This flower brings us present, here, to where we are now, with all our thoughts, feelings, perceptions, and conceptions. And with all that we carry, Japanese Indigo helps us get clear about what we need to keep and what we can let go of. It’s likened to the Hermit’s journey in this way because it illuminates our interior and makes evident the wisdom that will enable us to move past blockages and obstacles, especially those due to internal clutter.
Japanese Indigo flower essence is for beautiful transformations. It shields us as we shift and offers hope and resilience through times of great change. It contains codes that are readily revealed to those who have remained diligent in the pursuit and enactment of their purpose. This flower is a reward along the way to remind you that you are on the right path and that everything is happening in perfect timing. A flower essence for the Indigo children and adults, Skywalker Shield is for those with high spiritual and emotional energies who feel deeply and know what they know but are also always learning and remembering. This one is also beautiful because it reminds us that there is a layer within this dimension where “right” is a subjective matter because it denotes that we have a will with which to make decisions that lead to many possible outcomes and karmas. It reminds us that the fork in the road is not a trick but rather a variety of alternatives that render a multiplicity of potentials.
What do you want most in and out of this life? she says. And as you think and feel about it, she makes the process all the more sensible, so you get the most satisfaction from each moment - even those difficult ones which require that you go deeper or do more. A warrior and mother frequency here, Skywalker Shield is in fact protective.
Enchanting, alluring, clear, and direct all at the same time, the beauty of this flower essence is understated and must be experienced.

flower profile and essence creation story:
It was shortly after I had intuited that my life would be “drastically changing” that I made this essence. A symbolic storm ensued shortly after that impression, and I stood firm and calm at the center. There was the knowing in me that no matter the intensity of that time, life after such contracting and moving moments could only be that much better. Rite on. At my friend Maya’s farm, during a walk with my beloved cat companion Indigo, I found an abundance of Congo jute shrubs all flowering bright pink, which I also learned is known as Aguaxima, revealed to me by my other friend Chanelle. Interestingly enough, this plant has a lot of names / appellations. I now know of 87. Abundance is indeed a primary aspect of its signature which is directly in correspondence with the Jupiterian force that also moves through this verdant accomplice. Aguaxima — a perfect name for the watering aspect of this plant which is hard to overlook or miss when you interact with them. A Tremendous Softening it affords, and with this variety and depth of awareness “Eye of the Storm” came to be. An airy disposition needing the water to remember where it is always with me. Aguaxima of the mallow family is a plant who has great healing qualities. This one is sweet and mildly cooling, a kin of plants such as Hibiscus and Cotton. In the body, they bring moistening and can serve as an emollient for the skin and other organs. In essence form, they help us to soften into and through tension and tense times — when communing with their essence for an extended period of time, we begin to notice certain aches and pains that had resulted from holding on to emotions, energies, entities, identities, etc that are stagnating, and we also notice how there is a healing of all of this granted by the communion… Historically, this plant has been used by various peoples throughout the world during times of great need, Aguaxima being a form of wealth and bounty when there otherwise seems to be or feel a lack. Similarly, this is a shrub that can flower year-round, furthermore hinting at the ways that they align with what is profuse and plentiful. Eye of the Storm is a potion for alchemizing from depleted states and activating remembrance of how we may continue in more balanced motion. Another layer of this element is that is enables us to bind and unbind as needed, helping to assimilate more integrally what nourishes and sustains us while shedding ties with what leeches and drains us. Eye of the Storm is an impenetrable heal and seal for the aura. The more we journey with them, the more this is realized. At a certain point during the 1800s, this plant was brought into Florida for use in cordage which is very telling of this essence’s capacity to protect and hold our outermost layers and expressed selves from shifts in the vibrational weathers, sudden or expected. On yet another level, Congo jute provides an elixir that helps to restore us from the inside out after a long journey. A balm for wounds, this can be applied directly on the skin to relax, alleviate, relieve, mend. This flower of life for the 10th Key of the soul’s journey is for the will within, the wild’s healing, and recollection of what is thought as ‘forgotten’, ‘fragmented’, or ‘lost’. Deep soul medicine. As we stand in the center, retrieval of our magnitude occurs and we are polished to shine bright again. Alchemy of air and water, Eye of the Storm guides us into the shifting centers of mind, heart, and womb, helps us to make sense of and be sensible to the complexities and multitudes we contain. house (flower) profile:
When you enter the House of Truth it is because you are ready to live authentically. This is the point of engagement upon the journey. Agrimony has been indicated for those who do not acknowledge their feelings of pain and torment, but repress and deny their feelings. This acknowledgment is not advised for the purposes of wallowing, but rather so that old inner clutter can be released. Many times, those who cannot access this house, have turned to alcohol or drugs to help mask feelings that are too difficult to face. Substance abuse isn’t the only indication of perhaps needing some Agrimony essence. Other avoidance techniques can come into play: an addiction to TV, overeating to numb emotional pain, as well as any other activity to ensure the repression of feelings. Those who can benefit from entering the House of Truth are driven to avoid confronting their shadows at all costs. They shy away from confrontation out of fear of “annoying” another, all the while silencing their own needs. The House of Truth is suggested for use when in counseling, as it facilitates openness in getting in touch with what has been repressed or denied and releases buried issues, allowing emotional healing to take place. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 11: Justice.

flower profile and essence creation story:
Pennyroyal was one of the first plants I noticed at the beginning of spring on the land I would soon after move to at which point they had begun to flower. Each time I would return to the spot where I had initially found them, I’d notice more and more of the pennyroyal plants spread low to the ground throughout the ‘back’ of the woods. It was in those instances that I witnessed their power of helping us to shift perception and expand perspective, able to see that there is more complexity and intricacy to what we have been seeing. This is is a preparation medicine, aiding us in getting ready for transmutation awaiting its divine time; something evidenced in the way their flowers bloom right in the cusp of winter and spring, primed to emerge into increased light after a time of incubation. It is for giving birth to the new aspects of self and those that had been suppressed, waiting to be uncovered, encoded. Pennyroyal essence, as a rebirthing medicine, is one that can promote important and needed shifts in consciousness, all the while helping to dissolve detrimental thought forms and bring clarity during moments of mental confusion. Along with this, the rebirthing surrender is one that allows us to release obsessive thinking ways or patterns of the mind which are rigid, not allowing for the flow required to experience a certain quality of expression. Through continual communication with this plant and their essence, we can observe the way that others project their imbalance or discomfort onto us at times, and furthermore resolve to not take those interactions so personally by maintaining clear boundaries. Deeply tuned to personal frequencies, Rebirthing Surrender allows us to distinguish what pertains to us and what we can leave alone (all-one), not taking responsibility for issues or misfortunes that we did not cause. It is for those highly sensitive folk who may have a harder time separating from those who abuse their sensitivity. .. This pennyroyal grows low in the woods, where the soil may meet with clay and sand, and appreciates moisture, a matter properly expressive of the aspects of adaptability and fluidity that Rebirthing Surrender imbues us with. Notably, they have been exceptional for helping me to remain calm and collected, cool and unbothered, more deeply cognizant of what even warrants any sort of response from me. When this essence was initially crafted, I decided to share it with a friend who had been struggling with releasing a connection to a particular ‘mind-altering’ substance; I didn’t even know it would have the impact it did, the decision naturally intuitive — it only took 13 days, exactly, for her to contact me with praises for the potion. She told me she had very acutely been made aware of the fact that the substance she was abusing was a spirit entity in itself, demanding of her body as a vessel to experience and express itself in a distorted way. Soon after that, she was able quit the habit and begin to repair the auric holes in her energetic field that has been caused by that abusive relationship. Following from this, Pennyroyal essence amplifies our spiritual energy and enables us to see the inmost configurations of the forms we are interacting with on more surface levels. Like the ocean, this rebirthing surrender takes us deep, and the more we inneract with this medicine, the more we uncover memories and begin to resolve issues from past lives and those pains, traumas, and mental/habitual patternings inherited through genetic codings from our ancestors. Here, we shed any contract with sourcerers who misrepresent our light and which can potentially exploit our energy. Pennyroyal is for reclamation of personal space, energy, and soul territory. As we shed taught and/or learned or inherited delusions and illusions, our 3rd eye is strengthened and we begin to see with the optics of one no longer bound by their own internal malformations. flower profile and essence creation story:
Crafted throughout the energy of an eclipse, through night and into day and into night again, this is an essence for going through the motions of massive changes and absolutions bringing about internal reconciliation and forward movement. The initial crafting process brought about clarity regarding this specific ally. When looking at the unripe berries directly on, I realized that the appearance of the berries was similar to that of the peyote cactus which contains mescaline, a potent medicine which brings about intense and sometimes uncomfortable but, perhaps, necessary visions. Poke, whose berries are generally known as toxic or poisonous, when used in flower essence form provides us with a frequency similar to that of a ‘trip’ that affords us profound perception and perspective, giving us a wider and more whole viewpoint of our situation. Poke helps us get to the root of matters, providing a solution to situations that are repetitive or lessons that keep coming around after we do not properly apply the wisdom shared through them. The Otherworld Shadow Dance takes us into the recesses of the soul and helps us to find the parts in hiding so that they can be reintegrated to purify the spiritual essence within once again. This is one for those recalling and reclaiming their power, for those who are no longer waiting for someone else to change but instead making the change from the inside out. Otherworld Shadow Dance is for those who are courageous enough to be responsible when spirit guides and benevolent ancestral forces check them or in other ways hold them accountable for the life they have experienced after a certain point when we begin to make our own decisions. This essence reminds us that the power is in us and removes any confusion that had us feeling or thinking otherwise. Otherworld Shadow Dance is an essence for those moving through the dark and making/being the light. Empowered by the energy of crow, guardian of sacred knowledge and wisdom and escort into the other life, this is one that helps us fly above whatever situation, unharmed and intact. This is not to say that shedding and letting go is not necessary, but rather that what remains at the culmination of this process is the truest nature and qualities of who we are in the grandest of the stories which is also our own. Crow essence combined with Poke essence is a force to be reckoned with — this medicine is for all psychological breakthroughs, for elevating the mind. The effects of this essence can also be witnessed physically, as we begin to shed the illness and other manifestations of the energetic baggage and trauma we may have been carrying. Poke essence is for our own healing and the healing of our ancestors. This is one we can share we them, giving drops as part of altar offerings, while we ask the hard questions and allow space for a process of reciprocal accountability and responsibility. Poke essence enables us to see that though we are healing for ourselves and our bloodlines, we do not have to be entangled in the distortions that may have arisen at a certain point in the weaving of the web. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 13: Death

flower profile and essence creation story:
There are elements that enable us to perceive some ‘losses’ as ascensions or points when a certain energy chooses to evolve and transform itself. This is the frequency with which Datura’s essence heals. Datura, a plant of the nightshade family, high in alkaloids such as atropine and scopolamine and thus potentially toxic, is one who instructs us upon the realization that a certain death translates to eternity and that eventually we ascend to new spaces, perhaps through times when, externally, there seems to be little shifting yet a deep brewing ensues through the innerscapes. This wise teacher has walked with me in times of deep grief aiding in making the breakthrough even if just into a glimpse of the opening that occurs within such contractions. We observe that in those personal deaths we experience on a regular basis there is potential for alchemy which makes it so that this dying translates to a rebirthing of ourselves/senses, an ability to live with deeper appreciation for how we are edified even through what feels trying and leaves us grief-stricken. How we can grow and are fertilized by those soil soul shadow in sol processes... In some traditions Datura flower is given in very small and calculated doses to open up the airways during a respiratory crisis; an application mirroring the qualities that Datura has for helping to expel grief and sadness from our bodies which often times filters through our lungs in the form of mucus and waters, such as when we cry. Through continued application of the essence, perhaps on the heart, the womb, the third eye, the palms, the soles of the feet, or on the tongue, the brew begins to well and soon we expel old and maybe toxic thought forms, patterns, behaviors, ideas, programs, and indoctrinations that keep us bound to unproductive and unhealthy cycles. This essence is for unbinding and binding all the same. The communion affords us the courage to send stagnancy and confusion on its way, all while keeping our peace and properly reclaiming our abundant and fluid states of being. Like the Temperance card of the tarot, this essence provides us with a number of elements with which to build and evolve. Fire and water are two of the main ones, and this is the power of the Internal Flame Shift. These elements, when properly used, can promote an expansion of consciousness which helps to stimulate soul elevation and spiritual growth — you may find yourself perhaps “not intentionally” breathing more deeply and appreciating the air element and how it informs and relates to water and fire. These are the constitutional keys of the phoenix who rises from the ashes, rebirthed as an eternal being, capable of transcendent flight… so much so that they may not be perceived within density yet we may find them in a dream guiding us in that same ascending way. With this as a focused meditation alongside an ancient ancestral audible invocation the essence was charged with the power of the Phoenix. May they guide you into new forms. May you learn the power of shapeshifting glamour and how to call in/claim the all that you are without fear or hesitation. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 14: Temperance

flower profile and essence creation story:
Known as bitter melon by many and cerasee by many others, the plant used for this essence is a powerhouse. The way they activate the body helps to bring stability to foundations from within. The process of creating this one began on an early Saturday with the moon waning in Virgo. The waning phase spoke to the ebbing of old forms. The energy of Virgo spoke to the precision and detail orientation that would arise through use of this essence. A Heart Cleanse is one that highlights our inner world and magnifies what is borderline obsessive and simultaneously detrimental to one’s being. This is for proper placement of processes; with A Heart Cleanse, we can pinpoint exactly what would actually benefit from a degenerative cycle, promoting death there so that rebirth can soon follow. This essence enables us to see the life that has been created over time, assess what is still useful and essential, and begin us on the process of discarding the old and expired. Cerasee’s power combines well with essences like Poke for processes of such caliber which result in major metamorphosis and evolution. This is one for continuing the work begun within the work with Poke. It is also able to stand alone, working through any inner contractions in order to meet a clear dawn and safely give birth. Cerasee, like the medicine it offers the body for cleansing from disease and stagnation, instills us with the energy of liberation and renewal. With this one we are able to lucidly see that the monsters and enemies we had created in our head can be transformed into accomplices for our healing and abundance in its many forms. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 15: The Devil.

house (flower) profile:
The Point of Passage is the entryway to the House of the Dawn which reminds us that we no longer have to carry inherited or projected burdens. This is a very special place to be in, for the indications of this House are deep feelings of grief and physical or emotional trauma. This could have occurred many years ago, or yesterday — any trauma, including physical or emotional abuse, an accident, or trauma from an operation. The body holds on to shock and trauma long after the fact. Many times, even years later, delayed effect may manifest as physical symptoms, nervous breakdowns, anxiety attacks, depression, etc. For many, true healing can only begin after the release of any trauma. The vibration of The House of the Dawn works at the cellular level and releases any traumatic experience from the cellular memory itself. Star of Bethlehem essence is highly recommended for those who have experienced incest, rape, physical/sexual abuse, and those experiencing post traumatic stress. Mothers and infants can also be helped in releasing the trauma of the birth process when they engage with the House of the Dawn essence. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 16: The Tower.
A note about using flower essences:
flower essences are not oils. They are vibrational healing remedies which affect and change energetic conditions and, like some oils and other medicines, can be used internally, on acupuncture/acupressure points and chakras, sprayed in the energy field, dripped in your water, and even used for personal and professional massaging. It is best to use an essence or combination and/or group of essences for 30-33 days to permanently shift patterns and create new habits, healthier lifeways.

flower profile and essence creation story:
Like with many of my other preparations, this is one that I have dreamt of working with more intimately. Mimosa, aka Albizia julibrissin, has captivated my heart since the moment I first encountered them. Like with a lot of the other plant allies that I have felt strongly connected to, Alibizia is one used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for healing the heart and balancing the mind and spirit. Every moment with this ally has been one of wonder. Every time I see them, it’s like I am seeing them for the first time - they remind me of how renewal feels. The formulation of this essence happened on a bright and sunny day, following days of much rain. The moon was waxing in Leo. Harmony was palpable in the air after laying a Rose of Jericho plant in a bowl at the foot of the Albizia plant as an offering. I felt both of them smile at me in affirmation of this gesture. Despite the otherwise perfection of the day, things were still a bit odd, and I felt a strong Aquarian energy outside of my own, moving me through these motions - felt like this plant had a Aquarius sun, Leo moon energy about them, or vice versa. However the placements, both of those signs were distinctly implied in the frequency of this remedy. Beginning to speak to the plant with my intentions to use some of their flowers, a clear image of The Star card formed in my mind, further confirming that Aquarius synergy I was sensing. Looking around me, I noted a lot of things in 3s - groups of birds and groups of people - and this furthered my comprehension of the aspects of Aquarius that this essence was embodying. Creative expression in one that could benefit many. The Leo energy came back to mind again as I began to gather the flowers. It became quite obvious to me that the combination of this Solar and Saturnian/Uranian spirit in this remedy is meant to move expressions through processes of refinement so that the manifestation of such is in alignment with its highest potential. As a reflection of the Aquarian signature, Mimosa flowers show up with a definite distinction from the patterns that many other flowers create in their formulas. Mimosa flowers are showy and hard to miss - they happen in a spike-like formation that is very soft and gives them the other name, Silk Tree, that they are commonly known by. In the way that we witness these flowers shoot out and upward, so Mimosa essence lifts our spirit and softens our hearts. There is something very unique about this flower, and like the Aquarius disposition which is often considered “weird” or “unusual”, this plant’s essence is one that helps us see things we may be used to seeing in a new way. Working more closely with them, we also experience shifts in our perspective that enable us to consider angles we would not have otherwise thought of (Mercury in Aquarius vibes). Digging a little deeper into learning the medicine of this beautiful and simultaneously peculiar plant ally, I once pulled 3 cards to learn more about the frequency of them, and the ones that came up spoke to the quality of balancing self-awareness with group concerns. It reminded of the Leo energy I felt from them, which I initially attributed to Mimosa’s affinity for the heart, but by then had learned that they also possess a brightening disposition. This balancing act, though, is clearly reflective of the lessons contained with the Leo (self)-Aquarius (group) axis. The 3 cards’s numbers added also equaled to 19/1: The Sun - more indications of Leo/solar affinity. Another strong effect of this medicine is their direct impact on the reproductive energies - they boost fertility. Like the creative energy that this formula unblocks and enhances, the Mimosa plant itself is considered ‘invasive’ due to their unbridled reproductive capacity. This is one which you can program with your intentions and trust that you will see the fruition of it multiplied to a beneficial and beneficent bounty. In the same sequence as this essence being crafted after days of much rain (Key 16: The Tower), they also offer us hope and strengthen us with faith (Key 17: The Star) as we emerge through catalytic moments. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 17: The Star.

flower profile and essence creation story:
Night-blooming Jasmine appeared in the garden, discreetly, one night during a moon in Cancer, on a Venus day. Perfect synchronicity. Enchanted by the aroma, I sat in the garden for what felt like an eternity much welcomed. The scent settled in my heart like a trance, and I could hear my heartbeat relaxing while remaining steady and pronounced. It was in this interaction that I began to receive intel about the power of Night-blooming Jasmine’s essence, without having yet made or ingested it. As the night progressed, I felt more of a harmony in my constitution after a day of dealing with matters of the state and its enforced governance. Night-blooming Jasmine helped me recall the day with humor and see through the illusion of control that certain people move and speak with. Their essence enabled me to loosen up after a day of tension and discomfort. Within moments, I found myself dancing in the garden. No music was playing, but I felt a deep rhythm moving through my blood and flooding my being. In all the movement, the decision was made to make the flower essence which was initially crafted in that same waxing moonlight, remaining in the light until and through the sunrise. Such an essence is charged with a harmonizing and balancing potency — meant to bring equilibrium into the entire constitution. This is afforded through both the lunar and solar forces with which it was infused, alongside the nature of the flowers themselves. Nightblooming Jasmine, also known as Cestrum nocturnum, is a richly-scented floral part of the Solanaceae family which is commonly known as the nightshade family. The plants in this family have the common energy of containing the wisdom of the night while expressing the potential nourishment found throughout the day. Lunar Delight is a flower essence adequate for all lunar concerns. It treats menstrual and sleep imbalances alike. It fortifies intuition and promotes vivid dream recall. When shared with children or others who may experience nightmares, this essence helps them release the anxieties and nervous system stresses that may have brought those about. Lunar Delight also promotes lucid dreaming and can be charged with the intention for astral traveling if one should so decide. Like the nurturing energy of the moon and mother, this one helps us feel protected, safe, loved, and calm. It opens the heart and mind, building a fluid bridge which inspires us to see the sweetness and lightness available to us in each moment, even as we journey through the darker parts of the days. Like the 2 vibration of the lunar frequency, this is an essence which can help the feminine aspect of the self heal from wounds and traumas, in our relationship with self and others. In this way, this essence can help us attract more harmonious partnerships, relationships, and interactions. With a strong Venus and Moon energy, this flower essence is ideal for increase our magnetic pull potency and re-empowering the higher aspects of the divine feminine. Having been charged with both sun and moon makes it ideal for recalibrating the circadian rhythm, even promoting proper use of melanin, melatonin, and other hormones and biochemicals which can contribute to our homeostasis. Lunar Delight: Nightblooming Jasmine Flower Essence increases both psychic and creatively vision which are intricately connected. This flower essence is for the mothers, dreamers, divinely feminine, sublimely in tune with their masculine, everpresent within their power, the visionaries, the seers, the earthshaker, the sea within. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 18: The Moon.

flower profile and essence creation story:
The journey of crafting this essence was a lovely one. The sun shone brightly on the day of the astrological new year while I thought of goldenrod blossoms and, shortly after, turned to find a row of them waving at me. ‘Excited’ by this synchronicity, I walked to the flowers and spent some time with them, noting the spiderwebs that had been formed around the stems and stalks and leaves of surroundings plants and trees. Gazing carefully at these formations, I gave thanks for the medicine of spider which time and time again has reminded me to stay steady and focused in my weaving, to perfect the dreamcatchers that protect and augment my visions. Days later, I returned to this site to make the essence after some time reflecting on the yearning to liberate my family. I placed the bowl of water with flowers in between two baby blackberry plants, nonetheless thorny and protective. A song began to form in my throat as I felt the rays of sunlight fill me and I channeled that energy into the essence. The song, not yet clear, was combining with my voice as I spotted 3 ants dancing a tantalizing and tantric dance around the rim of the bowl. They continued in that rhythmic motion for what felt like an eternity. The song escaped, and it was the one the yanapuma had taught me some time ago when I encountered their protective and penetrating offering in a jungle of my dreams. The yanapuma appeared to me in the precise moment when I was being followed/accompanied by a person who had been energetically harassing me for some time. After the encounter with the yanapuma, the person was nowhere to be found and never to be seen again. The ultimate cleansing, protection, uncrossing, reversal, and all of this because of the magick this mystical creature had ‘suddenly’ shared with me. As I sang into the bowl of flowers, my heart remembered this feeling of safety, trust, and revelation - my spirit recalled the liberation of that moment, and so the song’s intention for this essence became defined. As if innerstanding what I meant, the birds seemed to join with their singing, filling in the spaces where thoughts and deep knowing brought me into waves of silence. “A Special Essence” came to me as a clear encapsulation of the vibration of these moments together as one. In this same way, Goldenrod reminds us of the all that makes us whole. With their latin name, Solidago, meaning “to make whole” or “to bring together”, it is no wonder that the lucidity of perception that one experiences in union with Solidago is everpresent after that contact with them. They not only help us to stand true to self and source in social situations where one might otherwise be swayed to ‘fit in’ with the group, they also aid us in integrating and healing our inner child, especially the parts that were not accepted by our parents or caretakers but that we have longed to express. Goldenrod flower essence is for the ones considered the ‘weirdo’, the ‘black sheep (who are not sheep at all)’, the ‘outcast’, or the ‘underdog’ - for the one whose light the world sees but too often turns away from because it is so bright. With Solidago, we can feel safe and secure in and as ourselves, so while they target the 3rd eye and crown chakras, they also activate the balanced manifestations of the root, sacral, and solar plexus, ultimately bridging the gaps within our heart. Solidago, like the solar energy they emanate, are also ideal for those who have a lot to do, whether work or personal projects or parenting, and need a boost of both energy and discipline. Those who experience feelings of envy or jealousy because they cannot clearly see their own special essence can benefit greatly from working with Goldenrod flower essence. An essence for the weavers, this is one to take when feeling a stirring for creation from within and seeking a safe space to channel it. At the core, this is a vibrational remedy that is effective for helping to enforce a better and more loving relationship with self, informed by a brightened perspective and a truly clear view. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 19: The Sun.

flower profile and essence creation story:
This is an essence that had spoken to me of its creation long before I had the chance to act on it. Mesmerized by the drooping ‘fall’ of the flowers as they grow on the plant and knowing enough about their poisonous medicine offering, I felt called to meditate with this ally. They appeared to me as the one guarding the entry to the ‘shadow garden’ of my mind. In it, all of the plants were so tall that the entire garden was cast with shadows, and so the smaller plants were not receiving so much direct sunlight, yet they looked healthy. This image in my mind was a clear depiction of the way this ally works - restoring one to health through the dark, providing cover for the not-so-developed aspects of ourselves which may call for some protective shielding from a force that could otherwise burn it. For several weeks, I continued my meditations with this ally before attempting to make an essence with them. Months later, the air is again perfect for this work and the flowers are once more in bloom, so I endeavor toward completing this mission. As I’m in the process of crafting it, I start getting messages in the form of numbers and colors, denoting some of the work this ally is to do. Red, fire, solar energies formed in my mind’s eye. The sun, the king of wands, and a person speaking so loudly, they can hear nothing but themselves. A great blazing fire shows up, and then there is rain - a rain-fall that cools. Walking with the bowl of flowers, I spot a small black snake slithering across the point where the bowl would soon sit to infuse and charge. Making more and more sense of the symbols, I began to see what this remedy would aid us in. Rightfully named Angel’s Trumpet and lovingly known as Brugmansia, this one brings us wake-up calls and enables us to gracefully release any resistance to change. When one is set in their ways of perceiving, thinking, and acting, and they are overdue for a letting go of those energies, Angel’s Trumpet essence comes forward as the sound which shakes us out of whatever spell is keeping us inattentive to the work at hand. This is a key for spiritual awakening, attuning to the frequency of 7 for elevation into our crown and 2 for attunement to our deepest knowings and inner creative wellspring. Thus this is a key for the artists and creatives who seek to ground their inspirations and ideas into the concrete realm. It helps us to be properly organized in the work, while enabling to initiate lasting changes from the inside out. Audible Airs also is for those who need to be more true to self and stop externalizing “guilt” and “blame”, while instead discharging the karmic build-up from words, thoughts, and actions. As used in Hoodoo, the Ant essence added is furthermore effective for such deliverance. This is one for hearing and speaking the truth, for purity of communication and opening us to our God-code - the profoundly expansive information contained right in our genetic information. With this, they also enable us to access intel from our ancestral timeline, through communion with spirit guides, and in metacognition within the self. A potion for living, this one is as much effective for dissolution of old forms, constructs, and structures, as well as for those who are witnessing or aiding a loved one in a death transition. With the sound of the trumpet, all ears will hear truth and all eyes will see the brilliance of their inner moon and sun. This is one of The 22 Flowers of Life, and it connects to Key 20: Judgment.

flower profile and essence creation story:
The first time I saw Aloe flower blooms, I was pleasantly surprised, taken aback by the beauty. It was an Aloe plant that I had received as a gift from a friend in college in 2010, and 14 years later that same Aloe plant still thrives and has had many babies. A creative being of the highest order.
Similar to its applications in direct medicinal use, Aloe flower essence is one that soothes and smoothens. This essence is indicated for those who are experiencing irritations and inflammations from emotional or mental upsets. It is also recommended when one has burnt out their inner fire through overwork or lack of balancing the internal elements. The result of its application is ease in flow and an overall balancing of one’s fiery temperaments. This is an essence that is beneficial to those who have an overabundance of earth and air in their constitutions — the earth that results from too much burning and the dry air that results when earth is not balanced by water.
This affinity for those who have an overabundance of earth may also show up as helpful to folks who have been experiencing obsession with materialism and money to the point of becoming workaholics for such attainment. It doesn’t make one feel shame for these inclinations, but rather supports trust in the function of time-space and divine alignment to bring one closer to the materialization of desires. It suggests that we may not always get what we want immediately not because we have to overwork ourselves for it, but rather because we have to prepare ourselves to be ready to receive it and act wisely with it. When one may feel like they are on the verge of a breakdown, be it emotional, mental, spiritual,or physical, due to exhaustion, Aloe vera essence comes forth as a beacon which enables us to rest and center our forces so that we are not so stressed and scattered. It promotes moderation while revitalizing our creative wellspring, assuring us that there is no need to act like we lack when in fact nature offers us so much of what we actually need.
Waters of Creation is the fourth element which is required to properly nourish the life one may be incubating through creative ideations and the drafting of visions. It says yes to experiencing life from the heart again and trusting in its innate fullness. If you feel empty in any way, Waters of Creation will fill you up. It says, rest and trust, after a long journey.
